Its been on the local news that the wild life is returning to the moors where I live after 700 hectares were destroyed by fire last year. That was just one fire, there were 6 in total. Most of the birds are back and the mountain hares have been spotted. It's all great news.

It’s lovely to get outside at this time of year isn’t it?! Especially in these strange times.

I’m guessing everyone’s dogs are a bit grumpy with less opportunity to get outside and play with this doggy friends? Ours certainly is.

but had a lovely walk this afternoon and met a great ridgeback, he’s finally met his match! We might actually get some peace this evening!

I am so jealous of people who can go out and see such amazing things.... I am, slowly losing my sanity with this lockdown...
Not sure where you are living but even in a town or city if you go out for your exercise quota maybe dawn or dusk you might be surprised at how much of nature you can hear and see..hopefully! Even if you don't, just being out early in the morning kinda just feels nice...hang on in there!!

the last couple of months have been somewhat unfortuante for me, just before the the lock-down craziness I'had managed to break my leg - so not much walking for me at the moment, whether within out outside of the daily quota! But I will definetel follow you advice that I am able to walk again and the quarantie appears to be in the process of being relaxed:p

I wonder - what that daily quota is, and who and how measures it?

Ah...that is unfortunate. I was just about to say something similar that Flobo was mentioning. I hope you get your leg 'up and running' very soon.
Because of the reduced traffic and the amount of people out and about in towns and cities, it has definitely had positive effect for the wild life. My hubby has been going out in 'funny hours' to have quiet walks with dogs and even in our local cemetery there has been new creatures out and about....dogs have been delighted to find out it is not 'just' foxes and squirrels that they will get to 'meet' ...they spotted a deer another morning! Something we haven't come across before so close to our town centre.

@Jarvis M, oh that's frustrating I bet! Here's hoping your leg heals quick and you can get out soon:)
