Stag Antler Chews

I managed to acquire a few pieces of Red deer antler, its easy up here, for a Whippet Pup who is now 15 weeks, to tell you the truth, he has not had any interest them.

My lot said they don't think they're worth the money either. I agree with the website that they do last a long time - coz the dogs just aren't interested...lol. I've tried filing them down a bit, soaking the tips in water etc but the dogs would rather eat bones or cow hoofs.

Taz had one for Christmas and loved it - the girls weren't interested in theirs so Taz got them too :-

Little old Benji has added his to the list of his Special Prized Possessions which means it gets carried around a lot, stowed away in his bedding when he's not carrying it and occasionally buried in the garden or carefully hidden under the furniture. He's made no attempt to chew it, he loves it too much

That is so sweet. I give mine a rawhide chew each morning and Dolly usually 'saves' hers and spends a lot of time guarding it, much to Remmy's annoyance!!

Gypsy hasnt chewed her's...she just moves it room to room :clown:

My dogs adore theirs. They dont chew on them all the time but they always go back to them. So far theres no wear on them at all so I think they're great value. I bought one for my friends terrier cross and it adores it so much that when they go out the antler has to go too. The other day the antler got left at the pub and they had to phone up the landlord to ask him to look for it. Phonecall went "Hello, my dogs left her antler in your pub" "What does it look like?" "It looks a bit like a stick" "Ok I'll go and look" (time passes) " Ok I've found something that looks like a stick but is not a stick. I suggest you come in and collect it and in the future perhaps stick to soft drinks"

Brilliant

I mentioned to my husband that I'd ordered the dogs antlers for Christmas and he looked at me in absolute horror, he thought I'd ordered toy antlers for them to wear

I seen them somewhere recently but cant remember......may have been online.not tried them with my lot, but Allan had some for making walking sticks and Pixel my lurcher used to keep stealing them so im sure she would and luka is a greedy pig so I think he would too.........Fen is a bit fussier so im not sure

Brude used to love deer ears, but we can't get them now. I was debating seeing if he'd like antler instead

The problem is that he's already broken two teeth on stuffed bones, so I can't decide if antler is a wise choice

I got mine from my itchy dog, I have also seen them in Pets at Home. I bought two, one for my dog and one for my sisters dog, neither of them have touched them, I'm gutted! ..lol
