Stan gets the occasional 'hot spot'. Not sure what it's caused by but he got his last one about a year ago.
He started scratching his neck this morning, and when I got home today, he had broken the skin resulting in a sore, sticky patch on his neck.
I whipped him off to the vets, and they gave him an anti-inflammatory injection, and some antibiotics (huge tablets). Last time this worked quite quickly, but he has been unsettled all evening, running about every now and then. It's obviously itching like mad, but he daren't scratch it. Is there anything I can do to ease his discomfort? If he's no better in the morning, I'll take back to the vets.
Here he is looking up at me all beseechingly.....
