Well D Day has landed! Champagne in the chiller and the breeder in Ireland has sold his house!!!!!

No matter what she does tonight we are both very proud of our lass  . It seems to have taken an eternity to get to this point from us picking her out of the litter, but Terry has been so attached to her it was a hard job to let her go to the racing kennels. This is the dog my grandad was looking forward to see, his last words spoken to me were "Skippy...haha aint that funny?" as it was his old faithful dogs name (which is why i chose her!) Im sure he will be watching from the big bookies in the sky :huggles:

 Getting a bit emotional now :'(

Well what a night!!! After looking at the form we honestly didnt expect her to do much last night, before the race i said as long as she's not last and comes away uninjured i'll be happy. The trainer wasnt too hopeful either (w00t)

Well after what seemed the longest hour waiting for her race it was her turn and she absolutely flew out the boxes and led right up to the 3rd bend when trap 6 manged to overtake on the 4th bend. Skippy tried her hardest to overtake him on the straight but was just pipped by 3/4 length  She then carried on way out in front to the pick up and wanted another lap so continued and ran another circuit with trap 5 thinking it was The Great Escape and following her..... this girl is a cheeky 'un!! :- " :- "

We were all absolutely gobsmacked with her performance and her trainer was very surprised and impressed

WTG Skippy who is now classed as just above average ;)

Skippy's 2nd race tonight at Brough Park. Good comments about her in the Racing Post. She's in Trap 3 again which is her favourite trap and if she traps as good as last week then she should do well. The only danger is the dog in Trap 5.

The dog that pipped her at the post last week went on to win an A2 race on Saturday and is running in A1 tonight, so it seems she had a close race with a good dog :- "

:luck: Good Luck Skips :luck:

Unfortunately we wont be there tonight so will be a bit miffed if she does win, but hey, the Champagne is chilled and waiting :p

good luck for tonight hope it's a clean run race and going off form she should go very very ;) close

Lots of luck for tonight :luck: :luck: :luck:
