Stardust Greyhounds

Well its been just over 4 weeks since Skippy last ran. She has been off with a bug and hopefully now she is better she should carry on racing a little better  Racing tonight so fingers crossed for the little girl :huggles:

Skippy is finally back up and running tonight after yet another few weeks off due to a very nasty bug. The vet kept her off racing for an extra week last week to be on the safe side.

Here's hoping for a good safe race and that she comes away safe and sound :huggles:

 Come on Skippy, make us proud, it's your turn!

Update on our ladies.

Skippy is back home now after a nasty knock in her last race. We were watching the race in Ladbrokes, she was leading but got into some bother and i instinctively knew that she had done something. The trainer said she was fine but the next day we heard that she was to be off for 6 weeks. After her doing so well at Gretna last year, she has had no luck whatsoever at Brough and has got into every bump and scrape going. Plus Terry has had one or two words with the RM :- " So its debateable whether she will be back there. I mean more trials than races begs the question of if she was in the right grade?

Her sister (just out of season) is bimbling along at Gretna (well it gets Terry out of the house) and their brother is making a go of it at Belle Vue.

We were due to get another pup in December but he sadly died tragically so another addition or 2 is in the pipeline ;) and construction of our NGRC spec kennel block is planned soon (well if you class 17 breezeblocks as a construction).

Glad to hear Skippy is back with you guys, the last time me a Terry spoke he didn't seem happy with various bits in her training and said the track didn't seem to suit her one bit. With a nice rest and lots of TLC i look forward to seeing how she goes back at "home".

Hey hopefully see you next week ;) :teehee:

Sorry Skippy's injured :( Get well soon :flowers: I'm sure she'll be flying again soon with you and Terry looking after her.

See you soon.

Failing that i know of a nice whippet stud

(w00t) Funny that! I keep mentioning to Terry to have a litter out of her but Greyhound litters are quite difficult to sell, but i was wondering if there would be a demand if we put a good Whippet Stud to her?

Skippy has been to Westhoughton to have a complete going over and manipulated today. What we were told about her injuries, well, were completely wrong!! She is to have another 3 weeks off.

We have been looking at Sunderland for racing in the future, although maybe too late for a move for Skippy.

We finally have a new baby in our family today...................

80 odd pounder so not much of a baby :sweating:

Ronson (now just called Ronnie because he's a barker!)

Still getting to know him. A strong lad and huge compared to Skippy.
