aaarrggghhhh i'm already a bit stressed and need some good vibes please.

Badger and Woody my two ten year old whippets are going into the vets on Thursday for surgery.

Badger has eight lumps on him, although probably only having five removed, they are all non harmful but a couple are large.

Woody has a tumour in his back,it is coming out of the middle of the muscles just in front of his hips. The vet has already told us that he doesn't think it's going to be a nice one and if it has done any "damage" it is already poss too late.

Pretty much the only thing i EVER worry about is my animals and i can't beleive how much this is gnawing away at me.

Please think of my lads on Thursday and send good vibes for Woody because he is probably the nicest gentlest dog i will ever meet x x x xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

oh my god, you poor thing! it's the most helpless feeling in the world, isn't it :(

good luck to your beautiful boys, we'll be sending out best wishes to you all

and don't let it all keep going round your head, it's better to post it on here and get it out in the open than to sit there feeling isolated - most of us here will know exactly how you are feeling

Sending positive vibes to both Woody & Badger. I do hope it all goes well. Try not to let the worry take over, enjoy all the cuddles and walks with them now. They are two handsome boys.

Poor you....how worrying having two going in for ops at the same time. They look lovely...hope it all goes as well as it can. We'll be thinking of you.

Thanks for all the kind words. Have to admit i'm really nervous about them both going in but i decided they really should go in together.Out of the five dogs i have these two are devoted to each other and Woody follows Badger around like a little sheep.

The vet is putting them in a big cage together which will help a lot.

I already feel like pacing up and down  i shall find it hard to concentrate at work this week.

Going to have loads of extra walks etc this week.

not looking forward to having two dogs crashing about with plastic lampshades on their heads though (w00t)

cheers again guys x x x

i was the same panicking all the week, its a horrible prospect when your dogs have surgery.

my two had surgery on the same day and i asked the vets to call me as soon as the surgery was over which helped me through the day to some extent,i also went to the pet shop and bought loads of new treats and toys for them.

will be thinking of you all on thursday, and hope the day goes quick for you. :luck: :luck:

its terrible worrying and stressful when your beloved pet needs surgery. :( ill say a little prayer for them and keep my fingers crossed the results are good. :luck: :luck: :luck: sending positive vibes to you all  :huggles:

:luck: Good luck boys :luck:

Poor you, double the worry :(

:luck: :luck: and :huggles: :huggles: to both your lovely boys

I can't believe they are 10 yrs old, they look in fab condition

keeping our fingers and toes crossed that the news is good

How nice for them to go in the same cage for recovery.

Can you take a blanket in for them to lie on ? as well as worrying about Ella's operation I worried they would let her lie on a hard cold metal tray in the cage, because no one pampers them like yourself :- "
