Stitche's out wound healed, leg looks like chicken drumstick there is some scabs and one or two vulnerable areas but over all we are all pleased and he was able to put a littlw weight on it, ;) next bandage change next week, will post some photo's . Vet also cut some off end of splints so that his toes touch the floor to give grip xx and put on extra padding but was impressed with the sponge padding and bootie!!. Smartie now flat out after ordeal x

My other half put his bootie on this am and made him yelp, hope 2 goodness he hasn't caused any damage, come home now seems ok reluctant to put any weight on it but then hasn't been anyway, worrying all the same

Oh dear, that's a worry :(

I do hope that nothing has happened and Smartie will continue to improve :luck: x

Hope he's ok and no damage done. Bless him, he's still looking at his leg as if it doesn't belong to him ;)

Tail wagging, weight on leg when standing and ;) hopping around like a bush kangaroo and getting faster!!

Bless  The dreaded vets again

More Hugs for Smartie

 Must have missed this yesterday, hope Smartie knows he's meant to be calm for 3 weeks  Must be a bit of a relief to him to be rid of the bandage though :luck:

Oh that must have been agony for the poor lad :(

Thank goodness it's on the mend now, bless him  x

OUCH!! That looks sore :( Poor little Smartie, hopefully now the bandages/splint are off there won't be the problem of pressure and friction from them and he will mend. Muscle wastage will hopefully correct itself, I know I was in plaster for 13 weeks after a bad fracture and my arm looked like something off an anorexia photo but I have 'bingo wings' I could die about now :p
