I wondered if anyone out there knows at what age whippets finish getting their adult teeth. In the last week my 10 month old has been whimpering and chewing a lot. Is he teething or is he being an attention seeking monkey?

Thanks Claire x

My whippet started teething about that time. She lost her last front 2 baby canines at 6.5 months. See if yo can find a chilly bone. You can soak it in wter and freeze it. it really helps. Good Luck

dogs lose baby teeth at around six months as their adult teeth come in BUT it isn't until ten months that the teeth bed into the jaw properly and usually between ten months and a year dogs go thru this second teething stage as the teeth bed in.

just make sure he has plenty to chew on before he starts on the furniture (w00t)

Ben is 6 months old in a couple of days and he has been losing his teeth now for a good couple of weeks and every so often we hear him chewing something and have a look and he has a tooth in his mouth :x I am not a tooth person.. hate it when kids come up to you showing off their wobbly ones :x will be glad when this stage is over and done with

Ben does have 1 K9 left which has his puppy k9 sat behind it so it wont be long until that one is out, I hope as it is sharp when he is playing

Thanks for the replies guys - someone at work today (staffie bull breeder) told me she put bonjela on her dogs gums and it worked a treat! Think I will stick to chews! :p
