Nice!
Quite a fashion show too, folks matching the color of their jackets to the color of their dogs’ jacket.

Not just coats... Jasper and I had coordinating purple muzzle and jeans:)

This afternoon we explored a small area of woodland we hadn't been to before, because I'd heard interesting things about the residents :)

Ooooh….how lovely! Though one has to be careful with that low door when entering..:D

4am... "INTRUDERS in the garden....let me out...let me out....grrrrrrrr!"
Once that issue was sorted...4.30 am; 'bounce bounce bounce...rough and tumble'
5am..'TOOOOOYS...!!'
5.30 am...back to rough and tumble..
Yes....good morning to you all! :D
That's what has happened over here this morning and it is still on going...how's your day started?
Better get that next cup of coffee made..I'm going to need it

Very peacefully, thank you. :D Dogs slept all night, pottered downstairs to their usual spots, and now fast asleep again. I might join them...zzzzz.....

4:30 AM here, it’s time to start the wake-up-Miles procedure, and maybe by 5 AM he will be ready... I can hear rain outside, hard... but I have to take him out for a walk before I go to work, otherwise he’ll be restless all day. Not going to be a great morning, I am afraid.

Alright for some..
We've got new neighbours on the street and they brought 4 new cats with them...and they are now investigating neighbourhood....and we've got aviary..
Not only that foxes have been really active and making noises...so our dogs are like live wire at the moment. They are nice and calm during the day time, but the night life is what they are most interested...youngsters!

Bit of rain makes hairs grow on your back...good for you! ;):D

It's not a doggy thing but I need to have a rant.

I was out last night with a couple of friends, one is a very committed vegan so we normally let her select the restaurant because she knows where she can get a good choice. And she normally chooses very well. She decided on an Italian restaurant in Edinburgh's new town.

We were deciding what to have and it was all meat free - no problem, I'm fine with that but one of the dishes had meat free chicken and another had meat free salmon. I asked which the waitress recommended as I'm not actually vegetarian.

The place fell silent. Everybody looked round. Tumbleweed rolled through.

Honestly.

Anyway, to start we shared one plate of bruschetta. Then I chose the penne pasta with 'salmon' in a tomato sauce, my other non-veggie friend had 'chicken' spaghetti. She said it tasted like dog food but I don't believe her. First she has never tasted dog food and second, dog food would likely have had more chicken in it. The vegan had something with pasta and vegan stuff.

We had two bottles of wine amongst the three of us.

£40 each. I don't mind paying £40 for a meal I enjoy but honestly, I feel cheated. It's not even the money (well, it is a bit - penne pasta in tomato sauce ...) but I don't get nights out so very often, I need them to be good.

#notahappygirl.

Thank you for indulging me x

It is good to get it out of your system! Well, I don't know what to say...paying £40 and not having the real thing on the plate! I would feel cheated no matter how good the 'imitation' stuff would be.
I don't mind with anybody's choice being veggie, vegan or what ever..but to have attitude over other person's choice does make my blood boil.
Eating certain kind of foods can be based for so many reasons and who are we to judge or take moral high ground over it..particularly if it is for medical reason, one just cannot know by looking at the 'book by the cover'.
And for my liking there is too much of this kind of behaviour going on.
See how easy it is to have a little rant.. I feel like spark of Victor Meldrew is growing on in me...again.......:D

It was both frosty and misty this morning, and stunningly beautiful :)

Lovely photo! Yes, it turned out to be beauuutiful day and even it was a fresh day, it was nice to feel sun's warmth on the face..not just a bright light! Oooo...we are going to right direction now..heading towards spring

For a change, last night we didn't have any 'intruders' so both dogs slept very peacefully.
BUT...it didn't change the fact that I had 'alarm' going off 5 am. Both came bouncing to me telling 'we are HUNGRYYYY!' "girls...you don't do breakkies...I thought it was the lesson I had to learn so we don't waste any food o_O"
Nope, I had to get up and start sorting their plate out. It has taken some investigation to find out what both of them are willing to eat and I think we are just about there now. Trouble is that they both are very different sort of eaters...but as they have learned to eat from same plate at same time and the same food, it has been a case of 'double trouble' and the saying 'terriers eat anything' is NOT true.
I've had some picky eaters before, but these two...they have taken it to totally different level.
I should call myself a 'dog chef' or a 'food detective'
Now that they've eaten their breakkies and their tummies are full AND I'm fully wake...girls are soaking the warmth from the fire and are fast a sleep...just typical!

I'm surprised that a vegetarian restaurant would even use meat substitutes. For one thing, a lot of vegetarians/vegans aren't keen on the idea, and for another, I've never found a meat substitute that I like (with the one exception of Quorn ham in sandwiches). Surely a good veggie restaurant would be more creative and cooks something decent with proper ingredients. After all, if you went to a Chinese restaurant you probably wouldn't be tempted by a 'puppy meat' substitute...

And another thing - I'm vegetarian, but given that cattle have to have calves to produce milk, and these calves are almost always slaughtered for meat, I think that vegetarians are on dodgy ground ethically so shouldn't judge meat eaters. I'm happy to admit that on one level I'm a hypocrite - but the truth is, I'm just very fussy and there's not enough vegan food I actually like.

At night before bed, I say "Go" to our dogs. They go outside for a week, then run back in, straight upstairs and onto their bed which is next to ours. They are already sat waiting for a treat by the time I get there. I give them a Gravy Bone each then they go to sleep. One of them snores every night too.

It's a subject I could talk about all day long. I love a nice veggie dish, why wouldn't I, I love veg, but I won't have the pretend stuff. I've got some life long friends who have been vegan for 40+ years and they won't eat what they call laboratory food.
Due to social media it's the new modern-day ethical vegan I seem to lock horns with and try to debate the subject. It always seems to end with me been called a murderer.
