If people are still interested in this i'm prepared to work the points out, there will be (hopefully) 5 opens held in the North West this year (BWRA N/W Bend Bonanza, Fed Bend Derby, BWRA N/W Straight Open, George Hartley Straight Open and another Bend open at the back end of the year, December it's looking like) anyone got any more input for the scoring?

im not 100% sure on this but its something like1 point 4 racing

3 points 4 a heat win

5 points 4 a final

7 points 4 supreme

im just guessing on those but its something like that all i know 4 sure is its 1 point just 4 racing.

for the past few years including this year the members that have won have received trophies. its nice to win something 4 supporting your region all year and its something only your own regions dogs can win.  :D

Would be nice if it was workable, to include wins at club level too, *might* encourage people to club race as well as open race, also the people who solely club race could be included in the 'competition'.

I know I'm a ped racer but would like to add something if that's okay :- "

I am very new to all of this, we've only been going for 2006, and missed loads because of a broken toe :( BUT we are now racing regularly and thoroughly enjoying it, albeit at club level at the moment. We will be going to opens in 2007 (I hope :b )

I couldn't believe it when we were handed a trophy in December, it was amazing  This came about because Andover have a Newcomer Competition that we all score against. I don't know the inside outs, but I know that we were awarded points for attending and running as well as actual placings in races, so although we missed lots of time, coming back and winning races did it for us. The nice thing about this was that you don't have to have the fastest dog at the club, everyone gets a crack at the competition if you know what I mean....

Not sure if I've made sense, but the gist is, go for it and include club racing. It will definitely give all something to aim for. If I'm honest I still haven't stopped smiling :) Now I know how things work, I'll be trying to tot up my points next year I can tell you :teehee:
