Hello, I live in the midlands area of the UK.

I have a medium sized house and quite a large garden.

There are five of us in the household, two adults and two teenagers, youngest teenager is 13.

Thinking of getting a whippet pup

There would be someone here for it during the day, but walks would only be in the early morning and late afternoon.

Do you think a whippet would be a good idea for us?

Are you expecting puppies? Or know anyone who is? A good breeder nearby me perhaps? Really interested in getting one maybe near summer or something!

Thanks x

Hi doggylove,

Welcome to K9 and the best of luck with you search for a whippet, you have come to the right sight

We have 4 of them and I would have no other breed, they are the most loving and giving dogs in the world.

WHIPPETS ARE THE BEST DOGS EVER BUT THEY DO HAVE THERE MAD PUPPY DAYS LIKE ALL DOGS , I HAVE 3 OF THEM AND WOULD NEVER HAVE ANOTHER BREED , AS PUPPIES THEY CAN BE VERY DESTRUCTIVE ( JUST LIKE ANY OTHER PUPPY ) AND BE LITTLE TAZMANIAN DEVILS :clown:

I HAVE BEEN STOPPED A LOT THIS WEEK WITH MINE SAYING HOW DOCILE AND WELL BEHAVED THEY ARE AND WHAT EASY DOGS THEY ARE , WELL THEY SHOULD FOLLOW THEM HOME LOL AS LONG AS YOU ARE AWARE THAT THE DOCILE SIDE IS ONLY ONE SIDE OF THE WHIPPET AND YOU HAVE A :clown: ON THE OTHER SIDE THEN A WHIPPET IS THE PERFECT CHOICE :D

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE IS A THREAD ON HERE AS TO WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A WHIPPET PUPPY ?

GOOD LUCK IN YOUR SEARCH X

Oh nooo dont do it....

only joking.........wouldnt be without my girlie...even though she is a expert in stealing food, runs around the garden skimming the grass with her butt at a 100mph...and is in general the funniest creature i have ever come across :D :D

we started with Tia ,and im afraid to say .................................... they are very addictive ,we get number 4 in about 2 weeks :D i always said only having one :-
