Here is my lovely not so little beagle boy Parker after stealing the contents of the bin and then stealing 2 kilos of dry dog food from the cupboard.

i had to ring the vet because Parker kept yelping when he moved.

we fed him some soda crystals to make him sick but most of the food is already too far into his system so we just have to keep him still and let nature take its course.

keeping him still isn't difficult, he can hardly move!!!

look at the size of his stomach! (w00t)

Greedy Beagle!! (w00t) - Glad to see him looking so well though!! :huggles:

he's moaning and groaning and wimpering and he can't get on and off the bed without help.

he's very unhappy today bless him.

Fat belly or what, they just don't know how they've got it made dogs do they

his sides are absolutely rock hard, it feels awful and i'm surprised he hasn't ruptured something.

joking aside this is potentially a very dangerous thing for my stupid dog to do because they can actually split their intestine as the dry food swells every time he has a drink of water.

we'd come so far with him and he'd lost lots of weight and was getting in really good shape lately apart from the fits etc.

hope hes ok after eating all that dried food  nice to see him looking better though :huggles:

Oh Parker, you naughty boy...you do really like to worry your Mummy don't you...my Mum always calls beagles dustbin-dogs...I can see why now

Parker............what are they going to do with you :huggles:

poor lad lol, im glad to see him so much better hun. i love the second picture his face looks as though he is blameing u for him eating so much.

Poor boy, I feel sorry for you too, having to do clean-up duty as it leaves his system. (w00t) :- "

Now I know we shouldnt laugh given his problems but ... perhaps a small titter isnt out of order.

What a naughty Beagle - a whippet would never do anything like that :- "

(Seriously I hope he is feeling better tomorrow)

our garden backs onto a bakery, 1 night several years ago, some bugger lobbed a box of stale pie's over the fence and when my Labrador went out for a pee he found them, after a while of not scratching to come in, we went to see where he was, what i found was a very very bloated dog that couldn't even sit or lie down without puking :x

stupid bugger had such a sore tummy he couldn't eat for about 3 days :sweating:

hope greedy boy Parker feels better tomorrow  :luck: :luck: :luck:

sorry i got to laugh my dobbie lurcher is the same.I can give her,her feed, and if i leave something on my tops,or bin she will raid that.My 1 year old grandson has learned when he has something if he puts his hands out she will take it from him.If i correct sasha and move her away he screams and cries till she goes back to him.No wonder she is putting on tons of weight.Hope your wee dog is ok,but they never learn.lol

Aww bless him, hope he doesn't have to suffer tummy ache for long :huggles:

hope he feels better soon...At easter my Bow ate a whole box of quality street including the wrappers...she had looked like she was pregnant...luckily she had passed all through her system ...but she still trys to steal food ...cant leave anything ediable out :(

Oh naughty boy :b I hope his poor tum isn't gurgling too much :- "

Years ago we came home to find our Dally & Weimaraner had broken into the food cupboard & also opened the fridge & raided that. They had eaten loads of dried dog food & a full tub of margarine & some cheese :x

We had to walk them round the streets on lead for days until their tums went down, they were like drums

Parker

Oh Parker

hope he's ok :huggles:

:luck:

How's the little glut this morning...hope you've not had a bad night or loads of cleaning this morning :huggles:

  naughty boy :- "

i also use the twist top bin like that, but maddie still gets the lid off  dont ask me how

i do hope he is feeling better today :huggles: and starting to deflate

Elisha left the cupboard open once, i was reading her a story and could hear a funny noise  , after i finished the book and went to find the source of the noise.....i found Grace with her head in the dry food back stuffing her face (w00t) ive no idea how long she had been there, but she looked like she was in pup

sadly she will never learn, and given the opertunity im sure she will do it again

he's still very very fat and uncomfortable this morning. he won't get fed again until tomorrow morning and only then because he needs to have his hepatic food at some point otherwise nothing is taking care of his liver.

he still seems unhappy and his belly is very bulbous even though he's had seven big poos already today since four this morning.

he rolled around and groaned so much last night that i came downstairs and slept on the sofa and left him rolling round snoring in accompaniment with my husband.

he just looks like a tri-colour barrel today, last time he did something similar it took a week for him to regain his normal less rotund shape.
