It was a good day, although rather expensive for those of us that drove over something nasty on the way in!

yeah it was a lovely day out :D ...wasnt sure on the results as the computor went down for a while aswell but im sure someone will know

i did feel sorry for the people who had their tyres slashed ...there were some old wire fencing in the track getting to the field..i believe there were about 10 cars who had to have new tyres ..the AA and RAC done a good job

very exspensive day out for some :(

Does anyone have a photo of the offending piece of iron fencing that caused so much pain? and possibly another of the stream of AA/RAC/breakdown/recovery vehicles attending to the afflicted?

Hope everyone is now safely home...

Angela

i really must make the effort to come to a bsfa meeting, sounds like a fab day

sorry to hear some had problems with tyres :(

We didn't see or photograph the offending article, and strangely for us we were un slashed .....I feel for those that were, but at least it'll be better next time :)

We don't know the results either as Vinnie decided he only has 3 legs, so we didn't stay to the end (for once) as we brought him home ...

Sounds like a good day out apart from the slashed tyres. Just wish it was nearer, cost too much for me now sadly. :(

Er Sorry. No I didn't miss out. You must have misread what I posted. No problems before, sadly does not equal no problems today.

I can't believe I managed to miss whatever it was on the way in but it was fun watching the comings and goings of all the Very Nice Men!!!

Hope Vinnie is OK Hannah, did he pull up lame? There were quite a few tumbles throughout the day, some of which were 'sharp intake of breath' types but all the dogs seemed to be fine.

The only real problem seemed to be the Afghan who got his leg hair firmly entangled (why would you want one of those???) in the line!!

Look forward to next month when I can take my mob as well!

The results are now on http://www.lurecoursing.org.uk/calendar/event3.html
Well done to Wheatroyd Coo Massie BOB BIF with a score of 90!!!!

A memorable day. The sight of the merc being stretchered off on the back of a low loader will take some forgetting.

Wow, am lost for words, congratulations to my beautiful speedy little darling Phoebe  :huggles:

We had a great day out even before this result (w00t) and I particularly enjoyed watching Phoebs against Dougan :) . Thanks to Hannah and Sue for partnering Phoebs  . Hows Vinnie doing now?

Luckily we were unaffected by the punctures but really felt for all those that were :(

Well done Phoebs  :huggles: .....She ran so very well and Jacob said she could have taken it easier on him  .........

Vinnie's injury is a weired one .......He ran very well, came off sound .....An hour after he was sound on his lunch time walk, but an hour AFTER this he was on 3 legs with a swollen, red hock  ......On further inspection at home his leg was hot with a puncture/small hole in it .....The hole which is minuscule was weeping and sore to touch, so now I'm wondering if it was a bite  ......I started him on AB's, Piriton and Rymadil to cover all bases and he seems completely sound today :D .....Poor Vinnie nothing in his life's straight forward :huggles:

As for .....

LOL ....I'm with you on this one  .....It put me off when I worked with them years ago ;)

Hope Vinne is on the mend Hannah - if it were not for bad luck he'd have none at all!

Well done Pheobe, she's done it again  8)

We had a great day, Star was full of confidence and stealing tennis balls yesterday after her spectacular run

Looking forward to next month :D

Sorry to hear about the tyre problems.

Hope Vinnie is OK Hannah, the Little Git sends his best wishes and says having banged hocks isn't nice. Unfortunately he knocked/cut his in the Puppy Cup, and has a rather nasty swelling. We had it x-rayed yesterday and it's not as serious as the vet initially thought, but it does mean only lead walking for 3 months, and not more fun for quite a while. :'(

We may come next time, Gary tells me Gelert has something to pick up (w00t) and it would be nice to catch up with everyone.
