If you have seen the picture of the whippet in today's Daily Mail, what do you think??? Looks as though she could be very overshot to me.

Would scan it to post on here but the scanner has gone on strike so perhaps someone else can do it for me.

Is this the picture you were thinking of? (w00t)

So, I stand uninformed! I rarely venture outside the showing forum these days Lida. Thanks for the links - I am now more knowledgeable!

Calling them Bully Whippets is misleading in itself I think, tho'. Makes one assume it is a cross between a bull terrier and a whippet.

My original comment re its appearance still stands though ... Bl**dy horrible! :x

have to say that the idea that somebody may try to breed them, or even use them to create a new breed really puts my hackles up.

Looks just like the one that beat me at Upper Gumtree Agricultural Soc. some time back. :- "

I can't remember what I've seen now but is this 'type' of whippet always black or brindle or is it just my imagination running wild.

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your a mind reader............................. :- "

No, Bullies come in all colours as far as I am aware. I don't think the gene is linked to colour at all. You only find it in non-ped whippets in this country.
