the memorial fund is the funding for the trophies rosettes etc and also a memorial plaque for cleo , also anyone else wishing to have a dog remembered is invited to sponsor a trophy, we would like to hope this will become an annual event if possible ? who knows ? we will see how it goes, there is talk of having a joint event with another forum in the future? the event is being subsidised by dave (thewarrener) and carrie(ruby123) and carries father and the showing trophy has been put up by oakmoorehill also in memory to one of her dogs. A good chance to remember those we have loved and lost but never forgotten

the track will be measured at 100yrds and then at 200yrds and anyone is welcome to remeasure?

you are most welcome to attend

The two trophies are in memory of two wonderful hounds

The racing trophy for Alfa Swift or Shifty who came to us from Ireland as a puppy and turned out to be a top class open racer , his track craft was supreme as he was so clever, we refused £30.000 for him then he broke his hock repaired he raced and won again but we retired him at the top which was what he deserved.

Shifty had a happy retirement with us and died last year having never missed his walk out every morning. He is greatly missed.

The Italian Greyhound trophy is for Birdie

Birdie was a little blue Italian Greyhound rejected by his mother and raised by a bitch with a false pregnancy he was autistic and only grew to a third of normal size.

Vets said he would not live over 12 weeks of age but he had 5 happy years with us with a wonderful quality of life and a great sense of humour. He would only go to certain people and did everything OTT.

There is still a huge hole in my heart which will never heal for this little man who was loved so dearly.

Its so nice to be able to give something in their memories.
