i want to get a traning lead,

where is the best place to get one?

how long should it be?

thanks

Do you mean like a long line to help with recall training? Afraid I don't know but find K9capers on line pretty good for most stuff :) .

I used to use a flexi lead for Phoebe and let her potter around on the end of it and practice calling her when she was distracted with something and found that worked well. A lot of people don't like them though as they can choke themselves if they take off after something. Personally I found Phoebe understood the limit of the lead and I put a command 'steady, steady' when she slowed up on reaching the end of it and find this useful now when she's hurtling towards something she shouldn't :)

I got a 4.5 metre training lead from ebay, it was to take them in the long grass on the headlands though but supposed to be a training lead. Only problem is when they are leaping about we all end up getting lassoed and wound up together. (w00t) Some training huh!

I use my horses lunge line. Works really well for me and they are cheap and readily available from any saddler. :D

They do all sorts of things on here, plus all the money goes to a charity.
