its noone business but beakers.she doesnt have to explain her reasons for what shes doing.i rescued a litter of pups in bolton 10 years ago.i had to pay to get those pups out of the hell hole they were in.i paid 100 pounds each for them.one pup had to be put to sleep by my vet immediately,the rest were covered in maggot ridden sores and in a truly sorry state.i paid all the vets bills,i had them tattoed,wormed vaccinated and then eventually i sold them without papers for 100 pounds each(not that its anyones business but mine)they cost me a small fortune in food and veterinary treatment.how dare this person slate beaker for what shes done. :rant:

this particular guy wasnt being cruel.he just thought he could make a quick buck breeding a litter.then he found out he couldnt and the pups suffered (as usual)he was on the dole and just didnt have the money to feed and look after them properly.tbh i felt sorry for him.he had about 6 kids and was really poor.he was really gratefull to sell me the pups and have them off his hands.

Well done on getting those babies back to full health.

For the record - nicely put - no I don't think that you should cheapen them because they had a bad start. And good luck finding Rolo - he must be out there somewhere so fingers crossed it's only a matter of time. :luck:

I may a newbie to K9 but not to life and the wonderful and not so wonderful facets that it holds! (The love of dogs (both ways), rescuing dogs, violence against dogs and human, both physically and mentally…………………)

My problem is that I cannot understand why if you needed help did you not ask for it on K9 see Help and Ideas – Rescue Fund. There are so many people here who would help you financially and otherwise (??) (myself included – but after the recent comments I doubt you would accept anything from me!! Sorry and this is not being disrespectful). I know that it was your personal choice (personal being the operative word) but at no time on the thread were there any comments regarding place an advert on Epupz. I could not grasp why as this forum is solely for the welfare, love etc etc of dogs??

Yes I can understand your wanting to get Rolo back, after everything that you have told us and shown us, but wouldn’t K9 help the funding of this ……………………..

This is my final post as I felt that this was a public forum for comments, opinions, suggestions and the like. As I stated previously, other ‘newbies’ have received what I would feel as negative comments from long term members for having their own views, yet I am to be ostracised for doing the same. It seems not if you are not in the gang……………………..

I come from a rescue background as many of you know, but I am sick to the back teeth of people jumping to conclusions and feeling they have the right to judge a situation, and the people concerned, without finding out the true facts! I know this doesn't just happen in the rescue world, but for so called animal lovers this judging of a fellow human being is crass!

I should point out here that I have been guilty of this in past and bitterly regret it. I now try to keep out of politics in every sense.

I have sometimes thought in the past that some reactions on this forum were a bit strong. I can now understand why if you've had this cr*p thrown at you for years!

Pepsi - I've seen your name on other forums but have no idea who you are. Whatever your intentions, the way you went about it and worded your comments was very aggressive and accusatory. You cannot pretend to be surprised at the reaction you've received. You still haven't had the guts to tell us who you are.

I have learnt, mostly the hard way, to listen before I open my mouth. I would respectfully suggest that you do the same!

the two boys are still at home and will be for a few more weeks yet till i'm happy with them.

I had never advertised on an internet puppy site before (only got a computer at xmas) and probably never will again, I have had a few nice enquiries but a lot of dipsticks, you live and learn.

I'm hoping they will go to people i know so i can keep tabs on them and watch them grow, i'd rather give them to friends that sell them to strangers any day.

I'm so pleased how they have come on, you would never guess that they hadn't been here all thier little lives, bold as brass they will stride up to grumpy grandma and sit on her, completely ingnoring all her grumblings, and she never does anything about it (she must have mellowed)
