I'm devastated to hear that Angela lost her battle with cancer in the early hours of this morning.

For anybody who isn't familiar with Tailends, they are a unique and wonderful place who take very old and very ill dogs - mainly greyhounds, but other breeds as well - and give them the very best of love and care for their final weeks, months or years.

Angela will be very sadly missed. My thoughts are with her family and friends :huggles:

such sad news, we sponsor a couple of oldies there, they do such an amazing job

RIP Angela

I too had never heard of the site, but may she RIP, to be able to provide terminal care is such a gift, obviously a lady with a huge heart who will be a sad loss. x

I too hadn't heard of this lady or Tailends before but having looked on the website (and cried a bit as well) have completed a form to sponsor a Tailend dog.

RIP Angela Hogan.

RIP Angela, you will be much missed by many four legged companions as well as us humans too xxx

I hope you are reunited with so many you have helped before they crossed Rainbow Bridge

So sorry to hear the very sad news about such a caring and dedicated lady.

RIP Angela. :huggles:

When I can get my b****y printer to work then I will print off a sponsorship form and intend, along with a friend also, to sponsor a couple of these dogs. £15 is nothing compared to what these dogs are being given!! I'm not wealthy, far from it but if we can help these old and terminally ill dogs have a more comfortable journey to rainbow bridge then......oh god, crying again now!!! xxx Why have I never heard of 'Tailends' before xxx RIP Angela, if nothing else then you have made more people aware of the work you have done, and may god bless you for that.

I agree, Lal; I also sponsor GRWE greyhounds and have done for a few years now, but hadn't heard of Tailends. £15 a year is so little to give, but can help such a lot.

What a very sad story, this was obviously a very special lady. Like many, I hadn't heard of this charity but to run a rescue for termilly ill dogs who have little to no chance of rehoming has to be one of the most selfless things I have heard of. I will certainly sponser a dog, its wonderful to know that this recue exists, I just wish I lived nearer as I'd love to give my time to this. RIP Angela.

This is very sad news. I am just about to go onto their site and make a donation via Paypal but for anyone thinking about it but not quite sure (yet another good cause), look at the Photo Gallery on their website. Let's hope there is another Angel to follow in Angela's footstep to help these dogs. Rest in Peace Angela.
