This is the second slaughtered sheep, found by me on my travels yesterday, and once again a very distraught farmer, a result of dogs not trained to livestock, and left to roam and do there dastardly deeds

   Bloody irresponsible people!!   Ultimately we, as humans, are supposed to have the brains? So you walk your dog amongst livestock you either train it appropriately or you keep it on a lead and under close control!! Poor bloody sheep and poor farmer, people don't realise how quickly sheep become stressed and then to suffer an awful death like that. I'd be quite happy to have to pass a 'proficiency test' to keep a dog and to pay a licence fee.

Well done Keith, Jill is a credit to you as a committed and responsible dog owner.

Just to add, for anyone wanting to get their dogs livestock trained, my best advice is to make friends with a local farmer, most are dog owners and will appreciate you taking responsibility for the way your dog behaves around livestock. Most will give you the opportunity, under controlled circumstances, to introduce your dog to livestock. That said you need to make sure that your basic training, recall etc is sound first.
