I went HERE today.

 

And one of the highlights for me was the Display put on by the Newfoundlands,

here's a few pictures of them taken while they were in the river.

 

Here they are arriving and getting onto the floating platform thingy's.

Brings a tear to my eye. The number of rescue services that use dogs....and the dogs love it! Where would we be without them...doesn't bear thinking about.

They were well worth the wait, brilliant to see :thumbsup:

 

My grandchildren thought they were wonderful. And i

must admit i didnt think anything could go against the

currents in that river.

what incredible dogs, so powerful, and must really enjoy it...wouldn't want to share a bed with one though!!
 
My friends Carole and Bill England were the first people to have a uk show chapion who was also a water champion of Newfies. They even appeared on Blue Peter . Gosh that takes me back , must have been in the very early eighties . They are magnificent to watch arnt they
 
They are fantastic dogs :thumbsup: Down here we have Bilbo the lifesaving Newfie based at Sennen Cove ;)
