Well as expected, the dictatorship known as the WCRA have now stated that they are enforcing rule 6. Strange that they waited for clubs to decide on affiliation before they answered the question posed by many  Lots of people and clubs have asked the question, but no one was answered until now. They have said that all affiliated clubs have to only allow dogs with valid WCRA passports to run at their opens. They will also not have the right to refuse entry to any dog with a valid WCRA passport. .

I'm intrigued to know how you know this.

We have moved on, but would still like to race with friends at their clubs opens. The WCRA obviously want to prevent that. The clubs were not informed - even though they had asked, as to whether rule 6 would be enforced. So the clubs running under the WCRA will not be able to drop Superstars as was necessary last year.

Bertha, you are so insular by just racing at your own club, you obviously don't understand the Nationals at all ;) The Nationals do not inpose any rules on clubs at all :teehee:

Okay chill folks. You know that some people are going to come on this topic just to wind you up so for gawd's sake don't bite.

There is little point in my reiterating what has already been said about mandatory rule 6.

The WCRA have rules and they have to stick to those rules just like any other organisation AND affliated clubs agree to abide by those rules and the mandatory rules become part of their club rules from the moment that they affliate.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I've always assumed that affliation runs from March to March which is when the fees are due?

I feel very, very sorry for those racers who like myself and many, many others have decided NOT to renew their WCRA stickers for a passport, that they don't even own or have the right to do what they want with. This means that at some affliated clubs there will be members and committee members who cannot run their dogs at their own opens. Further now there will be far fewer dogs racing at those affliated club opens. I reckon somewhere between 40-50 less dogs. Hmm that's not good either.

That's not a dictatorship before anyone starts that's freedom of choice. Racers pay their money, give their time and help and they have the right to choose where they race or don't.

Anne says that the NPWRA is a dictatorship. Hmm can you have a dictatorship of 117 racers, all of whom can change any of our rules. All of which are going to be able to discuss and vote on how they want their racing to be run in only a week or two.

I've already had to remove some posts that were adding nothing to the topic but were merely using it as an excuse to get at particular people. You know who you are. If you do not agree with an idea then debate the idea - don't attack the person. Please do not post in future unless you have something useful to say on a particular topic.

Its obviously an emotive subject so for the time being I think it would be a good idea to close this topic until everyone calms down.
