Hi,

Just wanted to say that we have owned our beautiful Greyhound,Lady,one year today.We adpoted her from Martin Tucker,via k9,and we have never looked back.She went for her booster jabs 3 days ago,and the vet said she has the body of a young dog.She has been such a fantastic addition to our family.We let her off the lead,she comes back to recall,and loves everybody and everything,especially cats(not!!).Please ,if you are thinking of rescueing a retired Greyhound,you will not regret it,so why wait!!It is hard work,but they pay you back a million times over.I think you will agree,she looks very well and happy,and certainly is a true Lady

It has gone so quickly.Who would ever thought i would have a puppy as well.4 dogs,i must be bonkers,but the days are never boring.

Ahh,thankyou.It has gone so quickly.We have seen her change from a very nervous,shy dog,to a hug loving food machine that loves a warm bed and a 100 mile an hour gallop everyday.She stands infront of people and leans on them so they fuss her!!She has been a real challange,but worth it all a million times over.#Amandaxx

Don,t know what you mean,perhaps its the steak he had the other week,sprinkled with greated cheddar!!Steve looked at me like i was mad :lol: you know my lot are spoilt,but there worth it,anyway,says she with a baby toy hanging off her cage.

She`s a credit to you both !

Just to keep you posted on her litter to NINGBO JACK. One of her pups we reared here, made a very promising debut at my local track Longford tonight ! Showing a nice touch of early pace he ran out an easy winner on a very heavy track !

I still have no joy rehoming that `big` lad I was telling you about, but we`ll keep trying !

We will keep an eye on him,he sounds like he has promise.So he shoul aboutd with parentage like he has!!I have asked everyone i can think of about you lad looking for a home,but the size puts people off,and i don,t understand why.I am sure there is someone who wants him Martin.Why not try K9,i am sure someone who you know on there,would happily take him on.I understand why you want him to go to the right home,but at the end of the day,you found me on K9,and i hope you agree,that we gave Lady a good home where she is loved and well cared for.

Ahemm!!!My Lady is the best Greyhound around!!Lets hope he gets a home.If someone reads this thread and is interested in giving this big lad a home,speaking from experience,Martin knows his dogs,and if he says hes the nicest dog you could meet,he means it.Martin will help you every step of the way,as he did us,in the interest of the dog.Please,if you are thinking about it,have a chat with Martin,we have never looked back.
