About 10 to 9 the phone rang and a lady who said she was from Ideal World (shopping channel) said I'd won the monthly draw - a 20" Toshiba LCD TV with freeview etc. (w00t)

Totally gobsmacked and thought it must be a hoax - but at 9pm they announced the winner of their monthly draw - me!!!! I spoke to the presenter for a few minutes and now I have to wait for delivery in the next few days.

Still can't believe it! Now I just have to work out where to put it. Anyone know if a freeview TV is compatible with Sky?? :teehee:

How cool is that? :D

Oh well done, how brilliant, :D  I wan a toothbrush last year, not really in the same league!! (w00t)

WOW, that's brilliant, well done, you must be chuffed to bits

So where are you going to put it?

Wow, that's so cool, Janet. Hm, where to put it? What a delicious dilemma to have!

If you have a sky box then yes you can still use sky It just means you don't have to have a digibox to watch the freeview channels you just plug the ariel in to the TV as normal and you can watch the free channels

Congratulations  I never win anything even in the raffles at shows

Well done Janet, you so deserve it. :) Congratulations

Thanks everyone. I'm still getting over the shock!! They are supposed to contact me re delivery in the next day or two. :))

I didn't even realise I'd entered, so i watched more closely today and it seems that anyone who orders from Ideal World or Create and Craft (the one I watch, as I make cards) is automatically entered and there is a draw at 9pm each evening.

I only ordered a few tubes of glue and a couple of other odds and ends -under £20 total! :b

I'm assuming I'll just plug in my Sky box and ignore the freeview option.

I only noticed when I watched today that it is also HD ready! Is that good?? I see Sky has HD channels but you have to pay extra for them - anybody tried it and is it worth it??

Thanks for all reassurances about setting up the Sky box.

 Congratulations

If you have problems with finding place to put it, I will be happy to help :)) :teehee:

well done you  there's hope for all of us now, loads os times I've done things and it's asked do you want to enter the free prize draw and I've never won but at least now I know someone who has :D

I didn't even realise I'd been entered in the draw - it seems that everyone who places an order with Ideal World or Create and Craft every day in June is automatically entered for a daily draw.

I was sure it was a hoax when they rang me to say I'd won!! My friend watched it as I had to be away from the TV while I was 'interviewed' - said about 3 words to a gobby presenter!! (w00t)
