This morning Ben and I took Button and William to our local park. Its only tiny with only one gate which the parkie lets me shut so I can free run my dogs. Not very many people use the park but I haven't been up for a while as with being on clay soil it gets very wet.

Its now dried up the problem with it when it gets wet is it is on clay soil and on a slope wit a row of trees and bushes at the bottom. On more than one occasion William has ended up in a tree as he has skided in the mud so now we only use it once it has started to dry up.

Well we went this morning there was no one there so I told Ben to push the gate to but what have they done

padlocked the blooming gates open so I can no longer shut it  .As its only a small park the parkie doesn't stay there and basically I don't trust William to come back he tends to run to the gates when he's had enough and would just go straight through them and onto the busy roads near us. Having had him hit by a car once and him being lucky to get away with it I'm not prepared to let it happen again.

So now I've lost the only place I had that I coukld safely let my dogs free run

you need to get yourself a nice wee hack saw and get shot of the pad lock :- " :- "

Oh Helen that's pants! I can understand your frustration as i can let one of mine off for the same reason so i'd be bloomin' miffed too if i were in your shoes!!

We have a similar problem here - there's 70 acres at the back of our house which would be fantastic if only .....

.... the council hadn't decided to divide the area with barbed wire fences, put ponies on it last year who broke the fences down so that they are lying in the grass and now local yobs have broken down all the gates!

Nowhere safe no to let Ellie run .... I agree 'pants'!
