From listening to the radio in Oz today it seems as though the Japanese don't even need the whale meat - they have huge stockpiles of it! It is a question of honour and not losing face. Like many of you I cannot bear to watch the footage - it makes my heart break. Sadly we live in a world where civilization is only skin deep - there are still parts of the world where members of the human race cut off the heads of their enemies and put them on sticks to frighten others into submission and other parts of the world keep bears in cages and harvest their bile - the list of humanities cruelties is long. Thank god for our k9community where we can spread a little bit of light.
