It was nice to see a few of the locals with their dogs come down, 3 newcomers had solo's and then put all 3 in together and it was a really good race.

Had quite alot of trials too, Brian with his 3, Chris handslipped his 5 babies (well Karen did!!!) and Sadies Diva had a couple of handslips all doing everything right and enjoying it.

See you all next week

Nice to see the lurchers, progressing from handslips to a four dog heat out of the traps, all four dogs had never been in a trap until ths morning and all came out quite well made for a really intersting race all off levels, well done lads

A few more newcomers to the club again, nice to see Pam ad Steve with Milo whose growing seems to have slowed down, dont think hes going to be half as big as we all first thought still the big brother to Diva, Kate and Kane but not by as much now, Sheila with Cassie and Rose and Alan with their pups

Plenty of trials today, Chris and Sadies babies all having slips again Rose and Alans pups both going the full distance, Brians pup having a run in company and his black and white parti having half way and looking nice too, finally getting his legs together, all in all another good mornings racing.

See you same time next week

We had a good time thanks  . Did enjoy watching the Lurchers race and the locals were very friendly. See you all next week . Pamx

Another nice mornings racing at Shirebrook again, not quite so many in the racing but still an enjoyable morning with more newcomers and interested people.

We kicked off with a good few trials, puppies, a couple of pedigrees who had never been to the racing before but took to it like ducks to water having short handslips and chasing with no problems, two lovely lurchers came and each had solos and seemed to enjoy their run ups. Once again the local lads put their four dogs in the traps, muzzled and all ran brill a fantastically close race and all ran clean, we may have to start ad handicap these too, although the second run up gave a different result so I'm going to have to think that one out and also remember their seedings (thanks Chris you're telling these chaps too much (w00t) ) Now on to the handicap.

2 new lurchers turned up and bit the bullet and put them both in the traps together and although trapped a little slow it was a good run with them and they can only get better with more experience.

Thanks Carole, over the moon with her. Sadly she pulled up just at the finish line this week. She's gashed her shoulder and hurt her back leg. Hopefully she'll be right as rain for next week, a shame as I was looking forward to putting her on the bend today :(

Well done to all the workers at this new club for all the hard work being put in getting the new track ready should be great when its done, sure the club will go from strength to strength

has anyone taken any pics at the club was wondering what the track was like??
