What Do You Lots Feed Your Whippets?

Mine are fed on marrow bones, chicken & chicken wings, cooked liver, fish, (the odd fresh rabbit caught by them selves) (w00t) steak if it's going cheep. :) lamb, mince, scraps like veg, but their main biscuit as always been Bakers Complete, I've tried others like Red Mills, That Australian stuff, and various bags of food I've won at different events but always come back to Bakers.

Just feed what you feel happy with or can afford,( if that's any help.) di
Kerri got both her Champs r-ups and Golden Jacket win eating Bakers Complete Lite, she's in pup right now and won't entertain much else
whats the difference between bakers lite and bakers ?what protein%are they atb BB

Baker's Complete (beef) is 23% protein, i think the Bakers Lite is for older dogs, not sure, :- di
The lite has a higher protein content, around 25% off the top of my head and slightly less fat. I think there is a Bakers Senior which may be what Di is thinking of :b . You don't see the Lite about very often any more, it's quite an expensive feed TBH at around £25 per sack as opposed to Beta at £10 (or £8.47 in the case of the offer I bought 12 sacks on) but they do rather enjoy it.
mine too, how long have you been feeding beta?heard a few folk had probs with redmills ,runny shit s,all my 3 seen to do well on it tho, just a question why is 28% too high for pups atb BB

I'm a big believer in a high protein diet for growing pups  but your pup must be allowed to burn it off with alot of free running.

I'm not saying what I feed cos I get told off when they just grow and grow and end up scratch dogs.......just do what I do and stand'em in a grow bag while they grow up

doesnt matter wat you feed him,

all dogs are different.

i have won tittles on different brands of dog food

the best thing to give them is a lot of love and exercise.

Was that offer at £8.47 at Batley's Fleesh

I now feed Chudleys racer, i've fed redmills and beta greyhound but since feeding Chudleys i wouldn't feed them ever again. Chudleys is the only food that keeps weight on Vixen even when i work her hard. I also feed raw lamb from TPMS.

Now Vixen isn't running 160 metres 3 times a day, she's working all day ferreting or running 15-20 runs on the lamp. As well as 3-4 miles a day road walking and 1/2hr free running on the days she's not working. Chudleys seems to have increased her stamina throughout the day. It's not cheap though at £16.45 a bag, however i do believe you get what you pay for.
