Right, I've just added Monty
this is the pic I used - colour suggestions please!

Blue brindle or fawn brindle, which would you go for - I usually say blue fawn brindle    or brown with stripes :- "  (w00t)

Cor, that old chestnut :teehee:

I say Blue Brindle, but then I know nothing (w00t)

I think that's the bit I don't like about this, you can go in and change anyone else's dogs details once you're registered
I have found it a great reference tool and have used it lots, but am always a tad wary that it is 100% accurate.

I'm off to look at Badger before Jax changes it  (w00t)

Imagine how the situation would be for the owners if we all were to contact them for all inaccurate information we find - probably a full time job..... I like it this way as it is up to the users to keep it a nice sight, but that is only my opinion!!

Absolutely Henrik, I totally agree it would be a huge task.

I wonder if there is something in the database that can be activated to only allow you to update your own entries though.

As I said before, it is an excellent reference tool. Are you behind setting it up then? If so, well done

But easy editability is the key to ensuring accuracy - there are many errors in pedigree databases (sometimes the entries in Breed Supplements were inaccurate in the first place); having the scrutiny of many eyes can only help iron out mistakes and duplication errors.

Just seen that awful photo of Badger and me , you know the one where Im in serious need of help with my clothes  (w00t)   How do I get in touch with who put it on and give them a better pic of Badger ( without me )  :teehee: ?
i think if you just click on him and 'update' you can do it yourself

I've already spent many years adding 17,500 individuals to my own database, so I'm sorry, but I'm not gonna be typing them all in again :p

I have complete records from 1900-1919, and then 1930-1949, all taken from BRS. The rest of the numbers are made up from the rest of history, so there's still several more thousand to go!!!

:D A friend and I did get to look at the site last night and he was pleasantly surprised to find someone had put 2 of his old home breed champions on there. He is going to get round to doing the others soon. :D

 I'll probably end up with the typing job though!

Very interesting site, have started to put some of mine on too  Great site for reference but looking at the statistics we need a few more from the UK on there.

Would it be very controversal to have a section for comments on early death/illnesses/number of litters/etc etc? It would really expand it and give a fuller picture & I am sure many other suggestions would be forthcoming too :- "

Doris, what a beautiful boy. I'd call him a fawn brindle. What's his show name & pedigree? We "foreigners" find it a bit hard to identify dogs by their pet names.

All the best.

Gail.
