Awww  what a lovely photo - what a lovely girl Emily o:)

What a sweet wee thing

She does look very comfortable o:)

Emily is Penny :huggles: :( We have found her owners.Well a bit of a storey.I rang the local dog warden to report that I had found her, and that I was quite willing to have her stay for however long it took.I was informed that it was law for a stray to be picked up and put into kennels until her owner was found. Then after a week she could be rehomed.I explained she was an elderly lady whom I did'nt think would take well with kennels. There was no persuading this woman other wise then another woman came on the phone and told me there had been a report of a dog missing with the same discription. Her owner rang me and gave me a good discription over the phone so he came round to pick her up.He explained that she was his sons dog who was her second owner. Her first been a family had bought her for their handicap daughter and then later changed their minds. His son has since gone to live in Italy leaving Penny with him supposedly coming over for her later. He has'nt yet and if he does'nt would I be interested in her.I told him we had cleaned her teeth and she had the beginings of an absess on her chest that needed looking at.He then went to leave calling Penny who was stood next to me at the front door. She just looked at him turned around and went into my house and laid on the sofa.My oh had to carry her out to the car. :( :huggles:

Thankyou very much for all your offers of help even though she was here for a short time we miss her.Good Luck Penny :luck: :huggles:

If the son does'nt come back for Penny will you have her as the father asked ?

It sounds as if the father does not want her and there's no bond between him and Penny. :(

Think she showed who she would rather be with when she went and laid on your sofa when he called her. :huggles:

Good luck Penny.

If he turned up with her now she would stay to the end of her days it was like she had been with us from the day she was born. :huggles:

Aww what a shame Gucchi - I was secretly hoping that her owners wouldnt turn up and she could stay with you - she looked so much at home. :huggles:

I do hope they take care of her well :luck: you never know they may be knocking at your door again soon :) ;)

Penny very obviously didn't want to go with this bloke, who to me hasn't looked after her very well going by her teeth & abcess :( .

He also doesn't want to keep her,so what will happen to her.

Have you got this blokes phone number Gucci & will you have her?cos if not,i will contact him myself & see if something can be arranged.

Hi Alfyn

I spoke to the dog warden on the phone as I was also concerned about allowing her to go with the owners father.Legally I could'nt do any other but I have passed my concerns on through the dog warden and also begged the owners father to bring her back if his son was'nt willing to take care of her as the father did'nt want her.He would'nt give me any contact number but he has my phone number.I have also spoken to a lady from our local rspca about her who has said that she will check that he has done the things I pointed out to him.I now wish I had never let her go. :( :( I would love to keep her.

Well I have had a call from the dog warden and I have been told that Penny is to see a vet  , and she seems quite content where she is.I feel so relieved I have been worried sick about her.Maybe it has given the owner that kick up the a**se he needed.I hope so.

I do feel as though there will be a phone call sometime asking if I still want her.I can't wait. :huggles:

Loads of  and :luck: Penny miss you.

Gina

Poor little Penny, hope she's happy :huggles:

Really wishing you get that call :luck:

personally i think this poor old girl is much better off with you.did penny look as if she recognised him?if not i would have refused to give her up.id say the dog doesnt know you and im not satisfied that you are the real owner,i would have demanded to get his address and phone number.lets hope he decides the best thing is to give her back to you. sounds like she wasnt very well looked after where she was. :(

I was hoping that the last post had said you had got her back  plzzz keep us informed and I am really hoping you get penny back :))

Guess who I opened the door to yesterday?

Deep down I knew this would happen, but is it my imagination or has she lost weight. She was so excited to see us walked straight in and jumped on our sofa. :huggles:
