Gap currently have a whippet for rehoming but wondered here if anyone had any experience of a whippet that appears to have a birth deformity. He is going in for x rays tomorrow to check its a deformity as opposed to an old injury that wasnt repaired. The little lad was owner surrendered into a Welsh pound. One of his front legs bends like a banana when he walks but doesnt seem to give him any discomfort and its almost like the bone is made of rubber and flexible.
At the moment he is proving to be a lovely friendly lad if somewhat over sexed :b but we are going to sort that out aswell before he sends himself and the other dogs mad and marking is not the word for the amount of scenting he is doing both inside and out he must be so stressed. Not sure if he has been use to overly aquainting himself with alot of females which I hope he hasnt if it is indeed a deformity to the leg.
Apart from that he is very nervous at the moment and doesnt appear to have been walked as the minute you try to get him to go he clings to your leg like a little koala bear. He is just 20 inches and 9.5kg so really really tiny bless him
