interesting to see how these turn out I would be wary of using a miniature poodle are they tough enough? but it all depends on the individual. In theory a standard poodle is not a bad ingredient in a lurcher it would want to go to a saluki greyhound rather than a pure grey as the saluki would lghten the bone of the offspring. I wouldn't say it would be the finished article but as an ingredient there are worse.
Hi.

I have a 2yr old poodlex whippet. What an amazing dog.poodle father whippet mother. no hair loss, clever, very quick lots of stamina. Comical animal full of fun always wants to play. Anything else you would like to know just mail me.
sounds like a whippet

Any update on this litter or pictures of poodle lurchers?

I have shown and bred miniature poodles for a few years now and also have a standard for a pet. Since getting interested in lurchers i keep looking at the poodles in a new light also.

My miniature girls are excellent hunters, brilliant at ratting but not quite fast enough to catch bunnies though they give it 110%. My standard is only 10 months old and still goofy but he's very elegant and has a lot of speed & agility, will be interesting to see how he and my lurcher pup fair in the speed/endurance when they are both older

Why is there a need to cross a whippet with a poodle - why wouldn't you just get a Bedlington?

Hi. Not sure what all the fuss is about. You have as much right as anyone else to breed crosses, and I can see why you chose whippet and poodle- they sound just like the sort of dog I am looking for. Do you have a litter yet? If so, will you be selling any pups?
Hello well said I have just mated my Whippet bitch with my friends Beddy,Lots of views about this cross in different forums, some good some bad...

hi. i met a whippet x poodle at a show last weekend. she was very similar in appearance to my beddie whippet and seemed a similar temperament. her owner said she didn't moult at all and that she was quick to learn and had a high prey drive. attractive dog but maybe not as suited to working as a bedlington cross, you never know though. think the puppies will sell well anyway as have the unusual factor. good luck with it.

Just looking on epups there is a litter on there now
