I always have a hot water bottle when I am sitting on the sofa as I suffer from Raynauds Syndrome. I have noticed that when Murphy comes up for a cuddle he always ends up snuggling inbetween me and the bottle. He loves it!

I am slightly concerned that he will burn himself on it so I always try and cover it with a blanket but Murphy has other ideas - what better than snuggling under the blanket next to the bottle. As I speak he is nuzzling further down under the blanket!

Do any of your whippets do the same?

I don't use a hot water bottle but if there's a blanket on my knees then Niamh has to be under it! Doesn't matter how hot the room is! Sometimes I have to throw her and the blanket off as I get too hot but she'd happily cook under there. :sweating:

gypsy will do anything to get warm, she gets totally covered over at bedtime, and will even snuggle under a coat if ones been left out

both Tia and Spirit love to be covered up...every morning spirit gets under our quilt and even though he gets hot,he wont move, its me that has to move as he gets the bed too hot

Jinny & Ella both like to sleep in the bed but always get too hot :sweating: , so I keep a bowl of water in the bedroom and every so often, during the night, I wake up 'cos one or the other of them has crawled out to have a drink :D

Sidney & George sleep in bed, -_- and like Jane, I put a bowl of water down!

They do like to be covered up its amazing how they breathe!!

Bluebell IS a hot water bottle! Thought she had a temperture when I first got her  But if she did, she still has 2 months later :- "

I get woken by her panting underneath the Duvet :sweating: Dozy mare

When I first got Ruby she had a hot water bottle in her crate which I put in a Teddy HWB cover. I have now got her a Snugglesafe on Wendy's [Chelynnah] recommendation and this goes in the teddy cover. It stays warm all night, so she is still warm in those wee small hours when the heating has been off all night. Okay, she is really spoilt I know, but it is also good if I have to leave her in the car too. I must say she is so good about her crate, maybe that's why!!

Jess - you can get them for humans too, expensive and they are hard but will stay hot much longer than your HWB.
