Soooo glad you got him back Wiggley and that he now has his forever home.

I think 2 pups back in 12 years ain't bad going - I wish there was a surefire way of knowing people's intentions but sadly some folks are very good at saying all the right things.

I've worked with kids most of my life and the kids who grow up to be well balanced individuals are usually kids who have had pets AND been given the correct guidance how to treat them.  There should be some sort of education within schools to give children the opportunity to meet dogs and learn how to act around them.

   The parents have to take responsibility for the way their kids behave around animals.

I wish schools would let us take in dogs in to help kids know how to behave around them. Our local council operates a no dogs on site policy - drives me mad cos Ellie is a PAT dog and so could be of great use in a PSE lesson about disabilities, care in the community or responsibilty.

I'm really lucky in that my school encourages animals. Pearl come into class, and has done since she was 10 weeks old. She's magic with the kids, and they have all learned how to handle, love and walk her. Not all kids will be fotunate enough to own a dog, but at least they can become comfortable around them and learn to understand them. :huggles:

I'm so glad this little pup was rehomed. It's always good to hear a happy ending! :) :)

This all amounts to the fact that however you all think you vet your potential

owners - we all make mistakes.

Perhaps breeders should do the follow up just to ensure that all is well?

Please be aware that most of us have all been there

must admit, when we lost our greyhound i tried to explain to my other half how much the kids needed another dog.... what he didnt realy understand was that it was me mostly who was missing having a dog around but thought if i put him on a guilt trip over the kids he would agree :D and it worked just as planned...lol

however when we wake up in the morning to find twizzle inbetween our heads on the pillow i think he trully knows who it was who wanted a dog o:)

my kids love having twizzle and i am glad we got one small enough so as my 9 year old can help out with her,and it is learning her responsibility around animals but i would have never have just got the kids a dog unless i trully wanted one.

however i am now on the one of telling my other half that the dog needs a friend..........lol

was warned on this site that 1 leads to 2 and didnt realise how true that would be,infact looking at the garden and house size and the fact ive got a very large bed i can see there been enought room and love for a whole lot more....lol
