On Saturday, Alison brought Willow to live with my friend next door. The thread about his story -how he was found, blind and emaciated, wandering in the street -is on the general Dogs thread. Now he has come to his forever home and is the most gentle dog imaginable.

He and Lily (who, at 14, is 2 years his senior) hit it off straight away and have their beds next to each other - and sleep together at night in Bea's bed with her!! :clown: He also has his preferrd chair in Bea's house and in mine. Polly escorts him on our walks and stays close to guide him. he is lovely on the lead and just nudges my leg from time to time to keep his sense of direction. We had a good walk in the wood yesterday and he slept all evening.

Alison was worried about his eating (he is still very thin) but he checks all the bowls both in his own home and over here, and helps himself to anything edible. I don't think feeding him will be hard - we just gve him little and often and guard him from the gannets while he eats

He has learned where everything is so fast and I'm sure , like Lily, we will soon be wondering how we ever lived without him.

Here (I hope) are a few pictures. Trying photobucket first to see if it works.

The first picture is of him in Bea's bed with lily on the first night

The next one is Lily and Willow in adjoining beds on the first evening.

Next is Willow with Polly, chilling on my settee

Last is Willow alone on my settee yesterday morning - he hadbeen in my house less than half an hour and found himself a favourite spot!
