Here's a few pictures of our walk in the snow this morning. Unfortunately, I don't seem to have taken many of the whippets but there are quite a lot of snowy views here and sheep! :- "

Setting off

I know it looks as if I'm holding the camera crooked :b but it's actually a very steep slope across the dam! The dogs love running up and down it. (w00t)

Do they still have the speed boat on the reservoir?

Wow it looks gorgeous where you live - you lucky thing!

Fingers crossed for just a little bit of snow here - I need some real cold weather to properly test my new North Face coat my OH got me for Christmas! :D

Hope you enjoyed the pictures! No, they don't have speedboats anymore but there is a partly submerged ramp in the reservoir which I assume was once used for ski jumping. You can just see it in the distance in the 2nd reservoir picture. We've only been here two years so I don't know when it was stopped. That must have been really good seeing a thunderstorm from the dam. I like crossing the next one up - it's always really breezy and the air feels so fresh and clean. :D

Lovely pictures, the snow has almost gone from near us. It was pretty whilst it lasted.
