Have just been sorting out some pictures we took of the dogs at the beach for DeeDee's birthday last Saturday, and just had to post these.

These two handsome chaps are Socks and Fergus, who were asked to pose nicely with the lighthouse in the background, and despite the wind and incoming tide, did it with great gusto.

So then we asked DeeDee to do the same. Is there anything about this picture that tells you that although she's had fun, that stone was cold, the wind was in her ears, she was wet and tired and ready for home...?

Fear not, she was soon warmed up in the car, with her jumpoer on, sitting on Daddy's lap while we all had fish and chips. :D

I think shes saying, How embarrassing, those crossbreeds were asked to do this trick first so Im going to look as unhelpful as possible!!

She is soooo Whippet :D

 deedee does look a tad sorry for herself poor baby  we was on the moors a couple of weeks ago and we was caught out with a down pour of hailstones and i was amazed with phoebe who took shelter by laying down in the heather, i thought how clever of her so with the other two close to my feet i crouched down for them to get a little shelter, bless them they hurt me so must have been painful for them

Sorry, but I had to laugh. What a difference between DeeDee and Socks & Fergus! I have a friend with a collie who thinks it must be awful to have whippets because they're so weather-shy. Actually I think I'm blessed, because it means I CAN sit in the car with fish and chips and a whippet on my lap if I want to. Wouldn't do that with a big hairy smelly collie! :- " (nothing against collies, they're lovely too) :b

DeeDee looks super in her pink coat. Gorgeous :huggles:

Aww Deedee looks lovely in her red coat. Lovely pics.

That is so funny, just been reading my daughters pet annual, her friends dog is a springer spaniel and his star sign character suited him to a T ' full of energy, you'll need to be on your toes to keep up with him'

Ella's star sign character read ' loving, gentle, lazy and comfort loving' suiting her perfectly too, the kids were amazed :D

That is so funny  The first photo is just lovely  , are you able (or can get someone) to photoshop the people in the background out. If you could then you will have a photo worth hanging in the wall

Hope you dont mind - Ive ligthened it up and cropped it...

heres the result.....

 Poor Dee Dee...she doesn't strike quite the same pose does she?

I agree with others, that first photo is lovely with a wonderful atmosphere and setting. It just needs the top of the light house in, I feel, and the people are a bit of a distraction, as mentioned. It has the potential to be a really lovely shot! Great photo....love seeing photos of dogs set in a great landscape......

Janice, thanks, that's fantastic :D And thanks everyone for your comments.

My Mum wants a copy of the pic of her two posing, so I will be sure to send the photoshopped one to her. It's a shame it had to be taken on a camera phone (digi camera decided it was too cold and stopped working) otherwise it could have been blown up, qualities a bit low.

very clever janis,im still trying to work photoshop out,any advise would be appreciated

Hilarious! Bet she was glad to get into the car and sniffle around the chips! What a gorgeous coat she's wearing...

only a whippet could look so sad and dejected~!!!!!!!!!!
