Yes they are here !!! 2 black dogs, 2 blue bitches and 1 brindle bitch

The first, a black dog, was born at 10.15 this morning. The second, a blue bitch at just after 11.00, and the third, another black dog, at 11.50. An hour later a blue bitch and a brindle bitch were born within minutes of each other. Exact birth weights to follow.

One little blue girl, the last to arrive, was sadly stillborn ... we felt we couldn’t bury her without a name and so have called her April. Run free little girl

But the rest still need names  Not a competition as such as there’s no entry fee - we don’t want to ask you for any more money at the moment, a fair few of you have been so very generous already – and there’s no prize . But we would like suggestions for names, on the theme of the date of their birth, April 15th. Be as inventive as you like as long as you can demonstrate a connection between the names you post here and either the month of April or the number 15. Please post names and reasons and whether you think the name is best suited to a dog, a bitch, or either (it’s not always obvious) and we will put all the suggestions in a hat and pick out 5. If we pick two or more from the same person we’ll discard all but the first out of the hat and pick again until we have names for all the dogs and all the bitches from 5 different people. We’ll allocate the names to the pups in birth order.

And then we'll try and take some photographs so we can post a thread properly introducing Molly’s babies to the world.

Glad its over and they are here, so sorry for the little girl :(

Cant wait to see the pictures, sound a colourful litter :))

Fantastic news - well done Molly!

And well done to everyone at Scruples for getting Molly to her wonderful new home just in the nick of time!

Run free baby April - you won't be forgotten.

Congratulations Molly on your lovely little family, well done to all concerned. These little babies are going to bring such joy and happiness in years to come.

Congratulations to Molly! So sad to lose one, but in the circumstances she did remarkably well to keep the rest.

How about Blossom for one of the little girls? April being a month of blossom on the trees - my cherry is just coming out.

They are beautiful, look at those blues

Fantastic news, but very sad that the last little girl did not make it.

How is Molly?

Firstly, we need a Jane after the founder of scruples founded in April.

The following have birthdays is April Bette Davis, Budda

Diamond is the birthstone for April and Daisy is the flower.

Edward 1st was crowned king of England 1043.

Maundy alms day was in April and Anzac day and St georges day are in April

The bracken is just beginning to show here so there is another option (great for a brindle :))

Then there is Annie of course

So Jane, Daisy Bette and Maundy, Edward, George, Anzac. Bracken and Diamond (gives you some choices)

I do think that one must be a Jane and one an Annie :p

Photos please and news of Molly

PS I Like Ash Well done Katie. Several airports are closed because of the volcanic ash from Iceland today, just great for a grey :D
