I'm feeling much better today. Mum says I've been quite poorly. I've even been allowed to sleep in her bedroom at night so she could keep an eye on me :) It's nice up there. I like having her near when I'm asleep.

That horrid vet stuck another needle in me this morning - and Mum let him.... We did go for a little walk afterwards and Mum made me wear that horrid jumper as it's so cold. There were even a few flakes of snow. I wasn't a bit tired when I got home and she was busy so I amused myself by chewing the waste paper basket but I was being so neglected she didn't even notice. She didn't even notice when I sneaked up and took a bit of her lunch. It was much nicer than mine (which I didn't eat).

We did play ball though this afternoon and she's lit the fire for me which is nice as I really am quite tired really.

Oh, poor Harri :( at least you've had a little walk! get well soon :p

Mum was a bit worried about me again this morning. I felt OK when I got up but then felt strange again and just wanted to cwtch up to Mum on the sofa so she didn't get much done.

I felt better after a nap and went out in the car with her to get me a coat as that horrid jumper is a bit small now. I have a smart grey and purple one :) . Afterwards we went to a place where lots of men sprayed water and soap at the car. I wasn't sure I liked it but Mum said it was OK - they were just giving the car a shower, so I stopped worrying and it was fun watching them.

I had a big present this afternoon - a huuuuuge bone. I've never had a bone before but she won't let me eat it as it's too cold to take it outside and she won't let me eat it on the rug in front of the fire! I think that's terribly mean. Are all dog mums so mean? I don't think she'd even let me eat it in the kitchen - should I ask her with my best hi five?

Yeah Harri you could give her the biggest high 5 ever! No not every dog mum is this mean but she doesn't want to get the rug/carpet dirty. They are great them car showers aren't they i love barking at the wizzes and the sprays! I hope your feeling much better Harri? - Olive

Harri, when you get that bone outside, bury it nice and deep. Leave it for a few months, dig it up and then drag it into the house. Your mum will LOVE that!

Dennis says ‘get those puppy dog eyes out again Harri!!’

Ewww - don't give him ideas! I'm struggling enough with the idea of a bone on my floor as it is. I guess I can confine him to the kitchen with it at first. I am longing to see what he makes of it!

Some people give their dog a bone on a towel, and if he moves it off the towel they put it back on until he realises that's the place to chew it. Only to be attempted with a dog who doesn't have a guardy bone in his body, of course...

Ah that could work! Harri is the sweetest natured dog I've ever met - he let me take the remains of a couple of roast chicken wings out of his mouth without a murmur yesterday when "someone" left the carcass where he could raid it. He may be more possessive about the ownership of a massive knucklebone but I will be surprised if he is. Only one way to find out!

Just had the call from the vet. The specialist blood tests are finally back - all normal or close to normal. So no more tests or treatment and a wait and see approach. No indication of a liver shunt which is what we were all afraid of. Best guess remains xylitol....

Glad it’s nothing serious @Caro Perry ! However, I expect Harri has got himself accustomed to his extra special treatment and won’t be so happy with the news!
