Harri the Welsh Terrier's Diary

Mum had a call from the vet this morning and suddenly all special privileges seem to have been revoked! What did I do wrong? My bed is back in the kitchen as well :(

At least it's been snowing! I loooove snow. I played in it when I was a baby puppy but this is much more fun. I had to wear my new coat though. I liked it in the shop but I'd really rather not wear it. The snow wasn't that deep when I took a nap before lunch but I had a real surprise when I woke up. It's still snowing so I'm really looking forward to tomorrow.

Its a good job you like the snow Harri because there's more due! Enjoy your night! :p

I've been having a lovely time playing in the snow. It forms bobbles on my paws so it looks like I'm wearing snow boots. It seems to have mostly gone this morning though :( I want it back!

That new bone is cool though - I keep sneaking it off the towel and Mum keeps putting it back. It's a great game!

I still haven't been allowed to meet my new best friend. She ( I thought it was going to be a he!) is still a bit nervous in her new home and now has kennel cough. I've had kennel cough too so I feel sorry for her. I hope she's better soon so I can go and play.

It will come back soon Harri but hopefully not too soon, I hope your friend gets better soon too!

Looks like I did blow it :( I was on the long line for my whole walk this morning. I did try to show Mum I was sorry by having a nap on her lap this afternoon which I haven't done for a long time now I'm growing up. I don't think I'm off the leash yet though!

Things got better this evening when I got my food delivery. You can tell I didn't get any lunch by my eagerness to get inside! Mum put it all in the freezer though.....

I was looking at a few raw suppliers online and was wondering how you found ordering raw meat for Harri? Has he been doing well on it. Thank you @Caro

The ordering was fine - it's getting Harri to eat it that is the problem! I was hoping a change of food would do the trick but no. He still isn't eating properly. I've cut out snacks and treats but he' eating less than a quarter of what he should. He's bounding with energy though so I'm gritting my teeth and waiting him out

Oh dear, naughty Harri. Want to trade for a few days? Haha, might learn something :D I can't seem to get Frankie to stop eating!! He tried to eat a nappy earlier that some kind person decided to discard in the park area! Hope Harri decides that the bones are really nice, soon.

I had a trip out this morning in my new car seat. It's supposed to stop me climbing into Mum's lap when she's driving! It sort of works in that I can't actually reach her lap any more but I can still climb out :p

I do look a bit sleepy... riding in cars always makes me drop off (unless I'm trying to get on to Mum's lap of course....)

@FrankieDoodle - I've decided that bones are yum! Especially now I've eaten enough to shape it so I can pick it up and take it where I want it rather than having to have it on the towel. Dad's nice silk Indian rug is my favourite place to settle down for a chew :D

Liking the car seat - it looks like it's a specific dog car seat, is that right @Caro Perry?

It is - this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Solvit-Tagalong-Booster-Deluxe-Extra-Large/dp/B003F76Y78/ref=sr_1_3?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1520338446&sr=1-3&refinements=p_89%3ASolvit

The seat belts were hopeless, the one that plugs in to the ordinary seat belt holster gave him far too much room to move around and climb on to me and the Ezydog style didn't work with my seat belts that "lock" by default. He could sit or lie but not move between the two so very uncomfortable for him. He has to be in the front as it's a 2 seater! In theory the box is crash tested so it should give him some protection too

Thanks for that @Caro Perry, it looks like a good idea. We currently put Jimmy in his crate in the bootspace (hatchback) with one seat folded down so he can see us, otherwise if he has a better view he barks at oncoming traffic!

I'm glad to hear he's eating his bones. He looks so lovely.

I was meaning to ask if we could please see a picture of your husband's silk Indian rug, thank yo. They're so beautiul.
