Should you have your dog clipped in this hot weather? or should you allow their hair to stay longer?

We had Doris and Olive cut, but the groomers left quite a bit of fur on their bodies. :emoji_dog2:
 
There's a difference between close clipping and shaving though.

Harri was hand stripped last week to reduce his coat as he was really feeing miserable in the heat. He's much happier now.

Agreed. Also, non shedding dogs need to be clipped or stripped, the image above looks like he might be a retriever or even a rough collie.

Dudley is being clipped again next week, even though it is only just over four weeks. He doesn't shed but his coat ha really grown and thickened up. Seems more than in the winter
