Looks like yous had a fantatic day.We never got the event as I was just too sore :( ,,,Ive never seen lure couring before and I realy wanted to come.

Well done Scott and wee Braidy,,,he's a cracking wee lad, and I missed his first lure coursing racing :(

I hope yous have another this year,,in the summer months :p ,,and we will be there to watch (w00t)

Well done to all the winners and all that took part :)

I know some people were confused by the scoring so Ive tried to explain it

The judge remember is in the middle of the course in an elevated position and so sees the dogs from a totally different perspective to us down at the slips

1. Up to 3 points are awarded to the lead dog to the first roller

2. 1 point is awarded for each roller after, if the dog cuts the corner the point for that roller is not awarded

3. Points can also be awarded for a pass between rollers

4. A point may also be awarded for catching the lure ie a kill.

5. All these points are at the discretion of the judge and his word is ALWAYS final.

The hardened coursers among us agreed that Mr Graeme Thompson got every judgment spot on (Thanks again Graeme)

:D :D Congratulations to everyone who was involved in organising the Coursing event yesterday it is the first time that we have seen i coursing event and it was was brilliant to watch glad i left my 2 big boys at home yesterday as they would have clawed throught the back of the car to get involved lol :D :D

A big well done to the WINNERS and of course everyone who took part especially as the finalists of the main effect had come from down south so the journey back would have felt shorter we know as when we travel down south and win it is a better journey coming back ( Maidstone was 1000 mile round journey ). Hope to see you all again soon.

OUR PUPS HAD A GREAT TIME WATCHING EVEN THOUGH THEY DIDNT QUITE UNDERSTAND IT.

THEY CANT WAIT TILL ITS THEIR TURN.

SUPERB PICS, thats oor young Braidy Boy-Stoney Celica---the 5th pic down being slipped in his 1st ever course, AND i was mincen me self, because the red & white dog Williamswick Cavalier belonged to Mr Russ Hurst, and speaking to Russ just before the course-hes telling me that his dog had just missed out winning some big English coursing event, so there was me shitin me self--but didnt seem to bother Braidy who coursed the lure all the way and got valuable points, where the Cavalier cut alot of corners and losts points, you could see he"d done it before.! Cheers Russ mate, youv got me HOOKED fella.!
