I was so looking forward to racing at this event, but im also gutted that i wont be able to run my 35/36lb dog

i woudnt dream of racing him with 45lbs i also would never race him in a run off with 45lb and no limit dogs

but its up to the oginizers as to what they want to run there open at good luck to everyone who runs.

regards

I can only reiterate my earlier post.

Sorry that's how you feel and respect everyones decisions on whether they feel its right or not for their own dogs. We all have to make a choice whether we want to run or not when a format is advertised, whether classes suit us or whether we feel they dont. We decided to try something slightly different with the scratch classes and only time will tell whether its a good decision or not.

Some of our scr dogs that weigh 37/38 have to race against 45lb since the 40lb scr was scrapped in the bwra its very understandable that you wont run your dogs

The format dont suit my 16lb ..yet i think is fantastic to have a change of weigh groups and format for a derby

good luck to all that race

your right dee my scratch dog is only 38lb but most of the time i dont run him if its up to 45lb unless i know the dogs and know they r all under 40lb (which happens a lot) doesnt make any diff to me like coz hes injured so wont b racing anyway.

i personally wont run mine in the 45lb class unless i know wot dogs they are and that they r 40lb anyway which happens a lot. but wot i think is upsetting some is theres nothing for 35lbers to run in saying as theres no 36lb class and the weight classes only go up to 34lb. i know u cant please everybody (wud b great if we cud) obviosuly its too late for this year to change anything but 4 next year wud u consider adding a 40lb class or 36lb class? anyway hopefully il still have something 2 race with one of my heavyweight yds for pounders. im looking forward to it. consolation puppy trophy is ordered hoping to get it in the next 2 weeks.

just wondering is this open run as weighed or can u go up a class? thanks

Would just like to say massive thank you to Ricky and Krystal Bentley who have just offered to donate a trophy for the Consolation Sractch at the Leger, this was the only class which hadn't had a trophy donated, so the winner of the consolation scratch will receive the 'Hellbent' trophy. Thanks much appreciated.

I can only echo Chris' words and thank ALL the generous sponsors who have come forward with donations and trophies alike for this event. Just hope we can bring it altogether and make it a fantastic weekend of racing for all involved. :sweating: :sweating:
