Thanks for the help..I've bathed his face and lip with salt water already and given him some metacam.
I immediately put a large piece of non-slip vetbed down in the doorway and ordered another roll of it off ebay.

Just had a big shock...poor old Badger just had a nasty fall on the concrete floor in our conservatory.
he slipped on the floor and his back end twisted out from under him....he hit his face on the door frame and now has a nasty L shaped cut under his eye and two big splits in his top lip.

I agree, the worst thing to do to an unpredictably aggressive dog is to pin it.
I'm really sorry about your sister but I personally wouldn't automatically have the dog PTS, I would have the vet run bloods etc to be sure nothing sinister is going on..if he is medically ok, I would certainly...
ok sorry,i've not seen a picture of it so didn't know it wasn't fully formed so to speak..my dogs looked like mini adults at that age and were fully weaned without a doubt.
i had a puppy at six weeks old, it was a long time ago but I have to admit it was the most well behaved and devoted dog I ever had...I would say that it depends on the dog and although in an ideal world it would stay with mum until eight weeks, I had James my beagle boy at seven weeks old( he...
Moonpig gets banished to the room with the boys when we are at work...Badger is allowed the entire house along with Bryn, because whippets are good dogs (w00t) . Everyone can go in it when I'm home, it's just a safe place for naughty dogs when no one is about!! (w00t)
ok so my conservatory is a bit ropey so I painted the floor again( it still needs a few more coats)and cleared everything away apart from the tumble drier cos there's nowhere to hide that!.....so here is the doggy playroom....
and the boys in question....

if they really cost that much...you'll see me touting for business on a street corner near you very soon :clown: :clown: (w00t) (w00t) (w00t)
I actually hope it does put some people off owning one..that way less dodgy people would own them and other dodgy people would not breed them....I am making no sense but I understand what I'm trying to convey...I'll go now.... (w00t) :clown:
wish I had 300 quid spare right now..reminds me of my Woody..poor little soul..people like that are the reason i'm not allowed to carry a weapon (w00t) .
Thanks, he still isn't eating anywhere near normally but is definitely improved from what he was......not sure if the antibiotics have helped or not or whether like last time, he has just improved on his own.....one thing is for sure...the Cerenia injection to stop nausea definitely helped for...
they are lovely boys and I definitely think old boys are as much fun as puppies..they take just as many cuddles.
although I don't love Bryn quite as much as I did earlier(joking)....he had a raw chicken wing for the first time yesterday and whilst we were out this morning he has had the runs...
(w00t)
My two darling old boys..Badger the whippet (almost 14) and Bryn the whipX( almost 13 and mad as a box of frogs)
sorry for quality was my ancient mobile.
(w00t) made ya look!! lol
Well since Badger has been very off his food and I was quite bored, I devised a cunning plan......
Went to Tesco's and bought a bag of 100 kids play balls...put them in the washing basket and then threw in a few Burns Mini-bites biscuits...and suddenly my little...
