Well, we went to the vets today about a lump that's rapidly appeared on the point of Ed's right shoulder. :(
When it appeared it was soft and didn't feel attached, but two days later (yesterday) it was harder and was tender to the touch so I took him in today. The bad news is it's almost...
Personally I'd sack the behaviourist - doesn't sound like anybody I'd want to help me with a scared dog!
Maybe an over dominant one who's trying it on could do with a bit of ignoring as per the Nothing In Life Is Free programme, but an undersocialised scared one doesn't need that!
OK, they...
LOL!! Willow would like you to know that she has beautiful ears, and that she's way too young to be termed 'grandma', and that were she not so well bred she might BITE you! (Or at least glare at you in a withering way!)
She was just making sure that Eddie wasn't going to have something...
Thanks for all the good wishes, Eddie has been suitably cossetted, cussed, and generally nursed back to health  He took great exception to having the derma gel on his worst wound so I took to doing it whilst putting his food down - the two of us should have been filmed as it probably...
I think the first question you should be asking yourself is why do you want her to have a litter particularly?
What's she got outstanding about her that would be worthwhile passing on to her pups? :)
Aww Shane, he looked a handsome chap!
Pics of Eddie, oh yes, I think that's doable :D Thanks to all for the lovely comments, we're all very much in love with *young* Edward  and every day he's with us is a bonus after what he's been through.
Also NEGLR have in two young whippets looking for a home - which area of the country is it for, as they are Durham way?
Millie, a two year old female, and Sunny, a two year old male.

Thanks Jo, I reckon you're right! He's stomping around like a right little macho thug this morning, snuffling underneath cars for cats....Still, least he's healing ok and doesn't seem overly bothered by his wounds - until I clean them of course! Doing it just before a meal works best as he's too...
Eddie threw himself/jumped/slipped off the big bank in front of our house yesterday morning into the road, after a cat. He slipped past my hubby at the front door (man delivering my phone had knocked) and that was that.
For those of you who've visited us you'll know how high that bank is...
Hi-life brand dog food in the pouches and cans has a goodish percentage of pork in it. Willow and Eddie love it and have it as a treat, it's never given them the trots or anything so they must be able to digest it I should think.
There's a litter of Deerhound x greyhound pups being handreared that will be looking for adoptive homes soon, on Dogpages deerhound x pups but I only know they're in the north, don't know where.
It was the online version of Adtrader, and the area says Denny, FK65 - I've no idea whereabouts in the country it is, other than 365 miles from me, in Somerset.
LOL! It was from the online version of Adtrader.
Thanks for the info Susan, now I know.
Think it's a bit of a cheek though, as they wanted this particular type of whippet supposedly as a companion for another whippet. Sounds more to me now as if they want to breed pups but don't want to spend...
Hi all, just saw this advert and wondered what the heck *not dressed* means? My mind is boggling, so any light you can shed will save it from further unaccustomed activity! Ta!
WANTED Whippet Bitch hopefully a blue and not dressed.
Thanks everyone :) I am SO impatient for Saturday when we drive up to meet him. I never was renowned for my patience with anything other than animals, but it doesn't normally bother me, but I could do with being one of those laid back type folk at the moment, as I'm doing my own head in...
Hi Dessie
a lady called Anna Revitt makes them, she does rather gorgeous collars too!
If you would like her contact details she's happy for them to be posted, here y'go.... annarevitt293@hotmail.com or pm me for her phone number :) I'll try and post a pic later if Wills will...
Thank you all so much for your replies, they're much appreciated. :) You will probably all be sick of pictures by the time I've finished! :D
I've taken on board all the suggestions, and hopefully we'll make his days with us very happy and comfortable. Willow is about 8 or 9, so with luck...
