I'm not surprised you feel floored. This was sudden and you will not with her at the time of her passing that's going to leave you with a whole extra layer of grief and pain.
But the others are right it does get easier the pain dulls and turns into an ache that you never quite get rid of but...
Pathetic sentence.
What will it take for the justice system to actually reflect the violence that has taken place. They are too damn fond of saying it's just a dog.. they need to be saying you have inflicted pain and suffering on another living being. And then sentence accordingly regardless if...
Ive got a collapsable one in the car where we keep a bottle of water. Something that fitted in the car spillproof if possible would be good so they could have a drink enroute
A. if you can keep him in the same room.
B. my advice with neighbours is to get in first before anyone complains go round with flowers or a card and apologise say your dog is having a bit of a wobble and you will get it sorted asap , then thank them for being so lovely and understanding...
It...
We had similar problems with Murphy that first year of constant diarrhoea and trips to the vet end of it who wanted to try us on hypoallergenic food although I have to admit he was very good and when Murphy refused to eat it I called them and they said return the bag we will refund your money...
Last year it snowed. The path we walk on where the dogs sniff and track normally invisible things suddenly became a path full of paw prints tiny mouse and rat ones but also bigger ones like pine martins or possibly otters ( its next to the lake) plus the tracks of many birds.
We are blind to...
I have two dogs who are on lead 99% of the time. They are both hunting breeds Beagle and Stabijhoun so prey drive is through the roof. Theres no shame in having your dog on lead. With varied walks and long lines there is lots of scope for safe exploring. I bet mine do more exciting walks than...
Lol I also get lost in the cross names shitza-oodle-dashi-doodle-labra-whasit
But for the op the singing in our house is triggered by unanswered phones, the monthly flood siren, emergency vehicles, although lately George ( beagle) has started doing it if I leave the house.
As everyone has said weall understand and sympathise fully with the terrible events you are going through.
How long? Well how long is a piece of string?
It differs in every case. Some people never get over the loss others go straight out and find another dog.
For me its always been somewhere...
Just to say not all rescues are nervous not all rescues come with a huge amount of baggage. My rescued border collie was solid my other rescue dogs have been fairly good but I've now got a dog that I got from a really nice breeder, his siblings are good, but he is as mad as a box of frogs and...
When Murphy was 18 mths we adopted George who was a year old.
They met in a park and walked home together they were bff' s from the word go but we were lucky.
Eating things yes rolling in things yes we always said you could take Remy from the wild but you couldn't take the wild out of Remy. Ive actually seen him flip over a piece of dead wood and suck up the woodlouse as if they were sweeties.
However I think the most revolting has got to be Oscar I...
I can only speak for myself . I'm now on my second beagle both were excitable train pulling arm stretching monsters.
But with a Beagle food is your best friend ,they will jump through hoops of fire to get the food. When we got George he would bark at anything sheep ,horses, cows, dogs, people...
George is 7 today. Hard to think that we've had him for 6 years although he made himself at home right away. He is a little white around the nose and eyes these days but he is still a big puppy at heart.
I know a lot of people say play loud music or fireworks noise to get your dog used to it but that didn't work for us.
What helped was cbd oil pure 2.5% but we started about 3 weeks before the fireworks.
Also a good long walk in a quiet area early in the day so that the evening was just a quick wee.
I know a lot of people hate retractable leads but for the second time in the last couple of weeks we've been attacked by a dog on a long lead because the owner had no control.
The first idiot just let go when the dog started lunging and barking and luckily our yelling made it think twice so...
