Well done for saving Jake.

:luck: Hope all turns out well for him and a new loving home is found. :huggles:

 He's a lucky lad.

Thanks folks but it's the vets who managed to get him safe for me :b

Jake's obviously very confused poor lad, but he's been mixing in with this lot tonight and has had loads of cuddles - he's unsure of being in the living room at the moment, don't think he's been allowed up on the sofa much :(

I'm signing out early as I'll be kipping downstairs tonight to keep little fella company (we haven't tried him with Silver yet so safer to keep them apart for now as the old lad can be a bit odd with newcomers).

I'll get some pics up tomorrow, haven't really had much chance for any yet. Thanks for the support everyone

He's lovely - definitely a non ped and looks in quite good nick on the picture, where abouts are you from? just trying to suss out who has dogs from the line i reckon he is from in that area.

Aww Jake is a lovely boy . Well done you  and your vet

Vicky I was doing exactly the same :- "

Be happy where you are now Jake :huggles:

Good luck to Jake :luck: :luck: :luck: :huggles: and well done Pheonyx(again)

Good morning all! (w00t)

Jake is from Blaydon area (couple of miles from the MetroCentre), we're based at Greenside which is just a few miles away, his ex-owner does have a couple of greyhounds and at least one other whippet too ;)

Jake is just gorgeous, how anyone could even consider having him PTS is beyond me, and he's been really well behaved (so far at least) and is fine with the other dogs here - we have a couple of grumpy oldies and he runs away if they grumble at him, no sign of any aggression at all and he just wants to play with everyone :(

One rather confused and a bit stressy whippety lad last night, he wasn't sure what was going on bless him :'(

But he does love to play:

...especially with squeaky toys, 2 of which have been shredded already (w00t)

Jake loves to fetch a ball, he sits and gives a paw, he gives wonderful whippet kisses and nose nibbles and is currently draped across my knee while I'm trying to type....

I'd say he was a non-ped too, definitely a whippet though and with a tail that's permanently coiled round, very sweet - he is VERY well muscled too, beautiful condition

(w00t) If you know anything about his possible line I'd love to know more, just for my own records, please PM me if you find out anything ;)

So pleased the Vet persuaded the owner to pass him to you.

If I had a dog PTS every time they had a bit of a scrap I'd only have Star & Tie left! :b

I know it can take a while for true colours to shine through but I'm so glad Jake has got the chance of a happy life.

PMSL- which other rescue would adorn a new foster dog with such a fancy collar immeadiately? :D ( I Presume he didnt come with such a nice collar?)

apart from that 'kill the ball' look in the last pic, he doesn't look like he could have a nasty bone in his body,

lucky lad getting a second chance

best of luck with him :luck: :luck: :luck:
