Hi my name is Jinty and i am a 2 month old, female whippet. I was found as a stray by the dog wardens. I get along with everybody and everything, i am a little bundle of fun!! If you are interested in me you need to live under any of the following councils , Notts City, Derby City, Broxtowe or Ewewash, as i need to have a home check before i can be rehomed. My donation includes a years vaccine, microchip, 4 weeks free pet insurance and also my speying when i am old enough. Donation on application

I wonder if the Kennel Club would be able to help trace her breeder - there can't have been that many litters registered at around the right date.

I WAS THINKING THAT JILL WOULD BE SUCH A SHAME IF SHE BELONGED TO SOME ONE THATS ON K9 AND THEY DIDNT KNOW POOR LOVE SHE MUST HAVE ONLY BEEN IN HER NEW HOME FOR DAYS IF THAT :(

MY GOD, this poor baby is barely old enough to have left her mum, i can not beleive someone has had her but a few days & then dumped her

It doesnt add up. Someone would have more than likely paid a price for this pup & if in only a few days it had not worked out surely they would have gone back to the breeder & asked for their money back?

From the piccy she looks clean & in reasonable condition so doesnt strike me as a travellers cast off.

There's few folk that will wave goodbye to at least a few hundred pound so readily. :- "

I am wondering if perhaps someone has bought her & she has somehow in the first few days of having her managed to escape

By looking on the kennel club site, any breeders within that area could be traced that had litters around that time, its worth a try

Well if they have allowed it to escape, they arent worthy of it, bloody outrageous

what a bloody start in life

If it had escaped, surely the dog warden would be your first port of call.Unless they don,t care??Poor little thing in a kennel on her own.

Lets hope, between us,we can see her homed.

People have been guilty of jumping to the wrong conclusion before on this forum recently...it could well be that someone is frantically looking for this baby..dog wardens are notorious for doing little more than dropping dogs off at the nearest kennels and taking their not unsubstantial cut for doing so. She is a bit young to have been chipped - it might have been planned - our very much loved dogs are not chipped until about 3 months and despite our better efforts James did escape once and put us through 3 hours of Hell looking for him and phoning round until we got him back. Not every whippet owner is aware of K9 or similar forums or even has the Internet. It may be a case of neglect /cruelty but she looks happy and healthy in the photo so let`s be careful how quickly we "judge" when we don`t know the facts.

That said we`d love to go and get her now!!! but we are not in the right area so what will the rescue centre do if no-one in the area comes forward- will they extend their search for a good home?

So pretty   Hope she finds her owners or new home soon :luck: :luck:

Well i think as someone has already said perhaps its best not to jump to conclusions

I think most folk who cared about a pup would not intentionally "allow" a pup to escape BUT with such a tiny pup sometimes accidents do happen. Perhaps a young child has opened a door or gate not thinking...........

Maybe the little one has managed to squash herself through a hidden gap?? :- "

I just hope if someone is frantically looking for her they will find her sooner rather than later :)

Hi,

Yes,i agree.Years ago,my Yorkie, who is long since gone, escaped,as my kids had not latched the gate.I kid you not, within two hours he had been picked up by the dog warden and at the RSPCA.It was a simple mistake, our first thought was the dog warden, who had taken him there as a stray. He was chipped, and we got him back the same day.It just goes to show how these things can happen.
