Nah was hoping my good friend from the north would be in billo so we could compare notes on how our gun dogs in qld are so much better than the gun dogs in south australia- but it wasn't to be

Maybe our planets will align in another lifetime.

First show in Australia. BEST IN GROUP. Judge Mrs. Mcmahon. She has had whippets befor. Group was worth 25 points so is 25% on way to Australian Champion.

All I know is what I said befor. But he did show well. So I hear. Viv, if you get a map of Aust out, about 80 kms south of Adelaide is me. & draw a line to Sydney, It is about 1400kms furthrer on.May be more. :lol:

Not bad for his first time in Oz - you must be chuffed Vivo.

A good weekend for all.

We had a small Breed Comp down here in Vic - first outing for my little Halle. She won her class, was best baby puppy in Competition and took the class for the best gaited. My gorgeous Jazz won his class too and was best junior and best parti-colour and runner up best dog. Best in Competition was Dachlah Rare Ruby and Runner up her brother Dachlah Rare Onyx (cousins to Jazz and Halle, so all in the family). A nice fun day and a nice introduction for my little girl.

Roll on the 29th May (Yarra Ranges KC Champ Show - our first real outing with Halle.

I had someone else handling Aime in the CC line up and on Sunday she had a little 'spack attack' (naughty) and the judge told me if she had behaved herself she would have got the CC. Oh Well. When you've got two bitches in the line up it's hard to know which one you should take yourself. The bitch that got the CC is out of a Skyeway Bitch (Cartman's breeding).

And the fluffy bum Reba - Arcticfox Show Business - (Sibe) was RCC bitch on Saturday in a full line up (which included a Le Court owned bitch handled by Simon Briggs) and she went on to Minor Puppy in Show! Her brother went in straight after her and took out Puppy in Show! Best in Show and Baby in Show also went to Siberian Huskies so what a day for the Sibes!

Just a question, Lana - champions still compete for CCs in Australia, right? And Aimee beat the CC winning bitch? I am sorry if I sound daft, but that does not quite make sense to me.

To me that's just like saying to an Olympic athlete - "Well, you won the race, and your name will be in the records as the winner, but we don't like your attitude, so the gold medal goes to the runner-up."

Now, I'm sure the CC winning bitch was very worthy, I just don't understand why she did not win the breed.

Ah I'm not sure how to answer your question in order to make it clear.

Yes champions still compete for the CC.

Aime (Aslan Chanson D'Amour) did not beat the CC winning bitch (Alltalk Almost Heaven) on Sunday. She was reserve to her. It was my male Dino (Aslan That's Amore) who beat Alltalk Almost Heaven for BOB on that day.

Aime did however beat that bitch on Saturday but she (Almost Heaven) was not the CC winner on that day. On Saturday, my Layla won the Challenge Certificate and Aime was Reserve Challenge to her.

The reserve winner cannot beat the Challenge winner of the same sex - the CC is awarded and then the reserve is awarded.

The CC winner is the BEST dog/bitch and the two CC winners go up against each other for BOB. Once BOB has been awarded, let's say for example the dog goes BOB, then the reserve challenge dog comes in to compete against the Challenge bitch for Runner Up BOB. This is the only time a RCC winner can beat a CC winner.

Does that make sense? I think you may have got my two dogs confused and thought that it was Aime who beat Almost Heaven for BOB when it was Dino.
