I had an Action Girl she was great with bendy arms & knees a bit like Action Man.

Most had red hair but mine had black & they all wore a cat suit in pink or yellow & fab little boots!

Aw i miss her :'(

We also had little poseable baby dolls no more than 6 inches tall ... anyone know what they were?

Annie

I think they were the Kewpie (or cupie) dolls, they were really cute with big eyes and a lastic molded tuft of hair !

I love this thread.....so many memories, did anyone have a 'walkie talkie' doll ? they were tall, had a string pull in their back for saying a few phrases and you could walk them.................

do you remember that SMELL of dolls vinyl faces.....Christmas heaven !!!!!

One of my earliest xmas childhood memories involved a doll....Id asked for Tiny tears ...it was the Christmas I also asked for a bike..so mam and dad had my sister too and must have been strapped for cash that year.. :(

I got a lovely letter off Santa apologising for not having been able to get the doll that Christmas..I carried it round in my bike bag for years..

I did get Tiny Tears eventually too... :huggles:

(JulieD ...were those little dolls Cupcakes by any chance)

when I was little I'd've given anything for a twin Silver Cross carriage pram !

didn't get one and even as a grown up, prayed I'd have twins so I could still get one :- " :D

so when I had a daughter I was delighted, now I could finally go out and buy her a twin silver cross, didn't care how much it was........she was never a dolly type of child :( bought her a modern soft bodied convertable silver cross dolls pram and she played with it once or twice, good job I didn't waste £3/400 on the carriage pram wasn't it ?

I had the silver cross single pram ...but not the twin one..Ive just put a photo on facebook strangely.. Ill find it Julie.

here it is Julie (can you just see the little black doll too)

omg I am so jealous !

my friend had a similar pram and it had flat boards in the bottom that hid a secret store place, did yours ?

I hated dolls!! I had the pram ( full of Teddies) and the horrible walkie talkie doll. I was horrid to her! She used to say "Please carry me" and i'd say no way, you can walk, I shall carry Teddy! Tressy.............her hair grows............. Had one of those, she used to be OK as she sat on my horses. Sindy, tiny tears YUCK!! I had a black doll too.

Also, I had those small dolls that you could collect, they can in different styles, nurse, cowboy etc. Do you remember the trolls with coloured hair, those I did like.

I was given a doll & very nice pram one Christmas. The doll said "mama" when you tipped it upside down. I had it for about a day before I took the back off to find out how it worked. And then it didn't work anymore

The pram was great tho....perfect for pushing our little dog Rusty about in. He loved being in there & we all took it in turns to push him up & down the street

I wasn't really a doll type of child. I did have some of those trolls with coloured hair tho, they were good.

I was given a nurse outfit one time & promptly swapped it for something else(can't remember what) but my mum made me swap it back again but I never played with it...much too girly.

So did I!! It was my favourite toy of all time, mine had red hair and a pink cat suit. I then got a Sindy horse which she could ride and I remember making little haynets for the horse out of the little string bags that carrots used to come in.
