I will be running Bally Boy and Sky Rocket (Rocky) Hope to meet you then. I am on the look out for a caravan to rent whilst I am in Kirkcaldy. Do you know of anybody who would be willing to rent one out. I used to know Chris Cooke years ago, is he still around.

you can ask these people on here susan she,s from kirkcaldy club and val haggart(screen name tangle wood or stormy weathers)i sure theres a carvan park near by which are stationary and iam sure theres aplace near u can hire and drive out with carvan,

Hi there Audrey---

there is a caravan site just down the road from where they race right next door to ASDA Albert and Greta --who had Itts the Pitts sometimes stay there and reckon its pretty good and dogs are catered for with some good walks to the rear of the site i believe---Dont think Chris is still living in the area but Arthur Cooke who runs the Derby event is--and you can find his phone number in last years advertisement for the Derby he will go out of his way to help you i am sure of that --hope this helps --dont leave it whilst late sometimes due to highland games same time is busy---

Hi Audrey _ Val here (tanglewood) my daughter Valerie posts under (stormy weathers) although we run at Kirkcaldy we dont live there so dont know all the local caravan sites, however the one that steve has told you about is probably the best bet going on what other racers have said look forward to seeing you at Kirkcaldy

i do know theres a static caravan site opposite the track maybe someone may have the phone number ...

I hope to go up for the week-end racing before the Derby,.

It's a long long way from the south coast so hope to stay a nice long time.

Don't worry, if I get a van I will surely have a party.

Will probably ring Arthur soon to see if he knows of anyone that would be kind enough to put a van on the track camping site for me as I havns't a tow bar on my car and will probably be near exhaustion when I arrive with my 3 dogs.

Hi there my name is kelly have one whippet just now called Tanya (guess who x sophie) but once i get her into racing i would like to get her a wee pal as she enjoys the company of other whippets and luchers, i have always enjoyed greyhound racing when i was younger and whippet racing is all new to me but i am hoping it is just the same as greys but on a smaller scale.lol.

Having been on K9 for a short length of time we thought we should introduce ourselves and the canines that have overtaken our sofas! Rob and I (I'm called chris........female type :* thought I would clarify that cos we live in the north east and its andy cap country still up here lol) have been together some time and having started off with two dogs each..............mine were whippets :cheers: ...........his were working dogs :blink: and somehow we have acquired one or two more since then!! We have six kids altogether, not all of them live with us tho....or there would be no room at all on the sofa's :- " The two youngest lads are keen racers, altho one of our peds does seem like it is going backwards sometimes when running against the non-peds.................we love them all tho :huggles: Hopefully we will be getting to some opens this year and will experience the richness of whippet racing in all its glory (w00t) rather than the wet windy days that seem to be all we race in at the moment :wacko:
